This is the best way to keep you kids into Sikhi. Sadly this is what Sikh parents are ignoring the most. Barely any Sikh kid knows Paath. The only thing we are teaching them is how to Matha Tek and do Langar Seva. That's it!

If every Sikh parent would do their spiritual duty as Sikhs and make an effort to teach their children Paath or make them memorize Bani, kids can become Nitnemi at a young age. That Bani will stay will them for the rest of their life(and I should say even after this life is over). While worldly wealth stays in this world and does not accompany the Soul after death, but Gurbani is such a wealth that it will go with the soul even after death.

Sadly in this department we are lacking. We only focus on teaching kids how to make wealth in this world which is fake wealth. The real spiritual wealth is being ignored by nearly 95% of Sikh parents today. Today our Kalyugi Sikh parents take more pride if their daughter dances like their favourite bollywood heroins (Kanjris) to Lachar songs like Sheela ki Javani or Muni Badnam hui than making sure they know their Nitnem and have Shud Supasht Ucharan.
