Sangat Ji got some questions.

I recently started a private business. Now as a self employed person when I donate to a charity and get a reciept (gurudwara receipts) then I can get that money back as a tax refund.

So my question is am I in a round about way not paying out my dasondh??

By claiming this money in my taxes, I can reduce the amount of tax I would have had to pay that year.

I've reasoned it and played with the idea " Guru maharaj is being dayaal because I pay my dasondh, therefore im getting saved from paying taxes"

But I'm still kinda finding a hard time coming to a conclusion.

Any input is appreciated!!!

I'd say you are still paying your Daswand. (Unless you're paying Daswand specifically for tax evasion). The government I'd assume would still tax you on what else you make. (Donating to a non-profit would actually cut part of your annual income, instead of being a tax evasion from what I've heard). I'm sure Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji knows what's in your heart which I don't know.
