How can I know if Guru Sahib is pleased with me ?

There is surely one way, by which we come to know that, He, Wahiguru is pleased with us.

If we can do the Jaap of His Naam effortlessly, and get the taste the Amrit from it, then it is a sign, of Him being pleased and  gracious on us.

On the other side, if we are not from the wadbhagee blessed ones as those in the above line, still we can attract His Grace on us, and please Him, by doing the simran, the bhajan bandagee of His Naam, as this is what He most likes.

For that reason, Dhan Dhan Satguru Nanak, tells us in Raag Maaroo:

ਜਿਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆ ਸੇ ਕਿਤੁ ਆਏ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ

Jinee Naam Visaariaa Sae Kith Aaeae Sansaar |

जिनी नामु विसारिआ से कितु आए संसारि

Those who have forgotten the Naam - why have they even come into the world?

You see, He does mention any other rituals, dogmas, traditions.... as all this has to do with the phenomena creation, while the spiritual, the subtle, the alakh, the agam reality, has to do with Naam Bhakti alone, that is why Guru Jee stress on Naam Simran/Bhakti.
