If India is a brahminic country , why would it put Ashoka Chakra (a buddhist symbol) in center of its flag ?

Ashoka Chakra is a representation of Dhammachakra (a buddhist icon) . Ashoka Chakra is related to emperor Ashoka who was a violent king who lived more than 2000 years ago and conquered most of india from kashmir to far south and from bangladesh to afghanistan.

He did cruel wars to achieve this . Not any empire in india except mughals have conquered so much territory.

But Ashoka was a cruel man . He had a torture chamber called "Ashoka's hell" to torture saintly people , esp buddhist monks.

However he later converted to buddhism and threw his sword near patliputra (modern day patna sahib) and gave up all violence. From then he became a saintly man and erected ashoka pillars with ashoka chakras and the "4-direction facing lions" on top of those pillars . These 4-lions are now icon of indian govt btw.

So the question is if we claim India is a baahman vaad country, then why would they adopt Ashoka's buddhist logos like the 4-direction-4-lions and ashoka chakra. Shouldn't they have adopted something like swastika or om.

One possible answer to this is Ambedkar's conversion to buddhism . He was also the original architect of Indian constitution . It is clear Ambedkar hated hinduism for its brahminism and oppression of his lower caste people and wanted some other -- preferably dharmic religion to convert to . Sikhi was on the table, but for some reason he and his millions of followers chose Buddhism and then burnt manusmriti (brahmin law book , akin to sharia) on the same day .

Imagine .... just imagine ... if he would have chosen sikhi, khanda might have been at center of indian flag today . Not that I dream of sikhi dominion on indian land, but still its a point to think of .

reason why they chose Buddhism is because they would have lost quota system in education and workplaces if they went to sikhi although it is retold that it was purely OUR fault for refusing them ...it was all a brahmin ploy  to get them to stay controlled as they considered it easier to reconvert budhhists than Guruji ke sher . Which is 100 percent true , which bird who has felt freedom would willingly go into a cage ? Buddhism has loads of mythologies based on various goddesses and demons etc  and is very pacificist , home abandoning, hiding away from the world  like hindu dharam .

Ashoka is their idol purely because he had such a huge empire , these guys idolise evil as long as it gets the jobs done , remember how the brahmins dismantled Ashoka's buddhism by the sword and torch too. (that's why they loved The Angrez and aspire to monkey them.)

basically the hindus specifically Brahmins embrace the invaders and act subservient whilst plotting to overthrow/diminish those same trusting fools . history has numerous examples  and it was also illustrated in Padmavat also .

I was actually going to make a topic on the ashoka empire aswell as the general history of India.

What I dont get is.

India is rich in culture and heritage dating back to over 5000 years. The indus valley had one of the earliest civilisations with a glorious and heritage. The indus valley ect.

Yet do we ever hear about all this interesting history and heritage of India?

All we are bombarded with is relative recent history of india dating back only 400 years ago with the mughals.

Its like everything indian is about mughals. Im more interested in the real history of india. Then some mughali mullahs.

The ashoka symbols are far more fascinating to me then some red fort or taj mahal that was built recently.

The real heritage of india is what they should focus on more. then arabic filth and architecture that was recent history which they puzzling still love.

If I wanted to learn about arabic culture I would go to arabstan not India.

We should be proud of our heritage of India. The land of elephant and tiger. With rivers and mountains.

Not mughali food such as biriyani.

Lets get back to our real heritage and roots! Its like Indians have no culture of their own so they cling on to arabic culture and pass it off as indian.

Indians held of the mighty alaxender army and sent them packing.

Ashoka is grandson of Chandra gupta Maurya so he inherited a massive empire and then expanded it , both were Jaini not Hindu (brahmivadi) per se

Chandra Gupta renounced his empire to become a monk and the amount of blood spilt by his grandson puts paid to the myth that Jains are peaceful nonagressive .same with Buddhists . He did not control the whole of India there were areas which stayed under local control in Tamil Nadu and the southern states but let that not get in the way of building an icon for 'akhand Bharat' .
truth of the 'muslim' architecture etc is it is actually PERSIAN from pre arab invasion times they just were patronised by the Turks to produce this art and had it relabelled under Islamic labels ...so it is art developed in Zoharastrian era and taken over by the tent dwellers , there is no shame in acknowledging its beauty . I think of Red fort as place of our victories not of mughals ...

these people have no feeling towards the environment or wildlife save a few species which are 'tokens' of gods/goddesses , they have more feeling for a nonexistant river than the millions who are thirsting for water in Punjab . Punjabis held Alexander in check remember that ...

Because of history being dominated by Maurya vansh , a jain/buddhist family this doesn't suit the agenda of current majority faith group (shouldn't really call them that since they disregard a large proportion of the population as non hindu except for owning and exploiting them) so they do not want to promote it , they would rather use fear of the alien culture of muslim to keep people locked into following the brahmin-led agenda  . Ironic since they too are aliens and want to claim aryan links yet deny them when confronted with the fact that means they too are not of the soil .

    • I know a Rajput Uncle who is a councillor and he wears the regular panjabi pagh. I wouldn't know he is a rajput because coul easily fit into any panjabi sikh or jatt background. But I can tell from his surname.  However when I look at proper Rajputs they were warriors and kings with those kind of paghs, similar to wearing dumallas or shahi turbans, some looked like Nihang Singhs! And Rajput background sikhs were involved in shastarvidiya training with Guru Hargobind and Guru Gobind Singh, as well as becoming their sikhs.    A rajput background sikh has double responsibilities to maintain turban and also training shastar. I think a Nihang Singh type look is more suitable for a sikh from Rajput background than any patiala shahi or average panjabi pagh

    • what kinda pagh are you tying that is taking more than 5 minutes? Actually puraatan maryada is to sit cross legged and cover your feet, tying pagh sitting down. The standing up may hurt your head.  Turban is not a hatm, many shaheediyaa have been given for the cost of this turban. MAryada is to tie fresh each time, and also twice a day. I kanga my kes twice a day and do keski twice a daym sometimes do my pagh or dumalla the 2nd time as well if I am going out. Just sit down, put a mirror in front and there should be not stress on your neck.
    • I was at the Slough Singh Sabha gurdwara last week. I think he was a teen, a tall young Singh got a deep gash wound on his arm from gatka, somewhere near his wrist. He was already on the floor when I entered through the langar hall, but I am sure he did it to himself not through a gatka "battle". I am unsure which shastar he used. I checked and the shastars seemed lightweight for the children. I picked up the khanda and it was light, not like a real khanda. I really want to emphasise that we should not be promoting twirly sword dancing as a "sikh martial art". This young Singh was hurting and gasping - why are we teaching twirling swords around in a way that may hurt oneself?? Promote shastarvidiya savai raksha and other martial arts which are about causing damage to the enemy. Why are we teaching this style of twirly gatka that's detrimental/harmful to ourselves and our allies? A twirly sword might hurt an ally in a battle, and doesn't allow allied warriors good movement around the sword twirler. This also reminds me during the summer, they were teaching some move to kids where you do some spins with the feet and then do a backwards bhangra type jump. I wasn't sure if this was a martial art or bhangra being taught?! Also at another gurdwara in another city/town in the midlands, the year before at a kids sikh club a guest gatka teacher was teaching basics to little kids by making then practice making infinity symbols with the gatka sticks!!! If we are showing off something ineffective and also harmful to the practitioner and allied warriors, then it's nothing to be proud off! If we are going to show our puraatan shastars off, we need to do it in a respectable manner not in this archaic colonial gatka era! The teaching is just as embarrassing as the last 2 decades and I don't understand why we want to promote it as a sikh martial art, to the sangat and to outsiders? the injuries are just not worth it for learning this modern gatka!    "Preserve Shastar Vidiya any way you can."(Rattan Singh Bhangu, Siri Guru Panth Parkash, ed. Dr Balwant Singh Dhillon, 36)
    • Bro, as stated above, you can do whatever you want. No one is snatching your starched turban, 2 weeks old, from your head. But what you want is for Guru's Singhs to call your turban in accordance with rehit. That's not going to happen. Also, why can't you simply tie your starched turban fresh every day? (Genuine question)
