It is a well known fact that Bhai Desi Singh Ji wasa close contemporary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and many vital rehitnamas of the Sikh Panth come directly from the pen of Bhai Desi Singh Ji.

We can't just ASSUME what contemporaries of Guru Sahib wrote to be what Guru Sahib wanted them to write.

here it goes: Ok Sadhsangat ji, my question is does Guruji believe and treat people equally, I heard that if your amritdari Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji gives you everything that is only if you take amrit, so does guruji only like people who are amritdarii?

Guru Sahib has said that he is not God but yet there is no difference between him and God. So ask yourself does God play favorites? Of course not.

but I have a difficult time understanding who wrote these Rehitnama and for what reason? What was the Original Rehit written by Guru Gobind Sahib, if such exist? If 10 Gurus have given us the Guru Granth Sahib, written by the hands of the Gurus themselves, then why not are these Rehitnamas Written by them which as you say, that Guru Sahib says are more important than the Sikh himself. If they held such Importence then why are they left off to be written by the Sikhs who are not our Gurus, yet we follow what is written by them? And lets not even start about the Vast differences that exist within these Rehits.

Pheena, it was Bhai Gurdas Ji who wrote the first saroop of Guru Granth Sahib ji at time of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, and Bhai Mani Singh Ji did the seva of writing the saroops at time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

I thought the word contemporary should have told you that Bhai Desi Singh Ji lived at time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji?

I asked you a simple question, why not answer it in simple words? Do u believe that the rehitnaame of Bhai Desa Singh ji or Bhai Dya Singh Ji hold any importance in Sikhi?

There are many things which many of us do not understand but if we all started looking at them your way then even believing in God would be hard, as many of us are not at a level of understanding him fully.

Well I'll just thrown in my 2 cents, I believe and follow Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, I do not understand or follow Rehitnamas as of yet (so many of them and so many differences between them). In my opinion bickering between Rehitnamas takes the mind away from the true message of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
