It is shocking to read about honour killings that happen in the south asian communities. Just came across this news story of one that is being made into a documentary. Who is at fault for these honour killings? Our society?  Makes you wonder what is happening behind closed doors in our communities. 

No girls should have to go through this kind of brutality from their own family members. This seems to be more common up north. In backward asian communities. So heartbreaking to read about asian teenage girls being beaten and threatened for wearing clothes not deemed suitable. 

One thing I notice is that muslim women are either one way or the other. either very religious and wear the head scarf. Or  dress in skimpy clothing and lots of makeup.
