Like other organisations, the Babbar Khalsa was most active during the late 1970s and 1980s. It has been listed as a terrorist organisation by the United Kingdom, the Canada, India, and the United States. (ANI)

Babbar Khalsa is trying to revive militancy in Punjab. TIMES NOW has accessed an internal document of Punjab police which has warned all SSPs and the Delhi police about the Babar Khalsa threat.

The warning by Addistional DGP of Punjab comes on the back of arrests of Babbar Khalsa militants in Delhi. The militants were allegedly planning to carry out attacks on prominent personalities of Punjab and leaders of religious sects.

According to an input received from the central security agencies during interrogation of main accused in the ludhiana bomb blast case, it was revealed that a few sikh youth had been nominated to neutralized the heads of pseudo-religious deras, especially shri Aushotosh Maharaj, Baba Pyare Singh Bhaniaranwale and Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh of the Dera Sachha Sauda.

The Babbar Khalsa hit list also includes Punjab Chief Minister Praskash Singh Badal, his son Sukbhir Singh Badal and former police chief KPS Gill.

For this purpose the Sikh youth went to Pakistan where they were trained by ISI activists in various activities including fabricating IEDs.

Various others were recruited by youth trained in Pakistan for helping them in achieving their targets. They even contacted NSCN insurgents, procured weapons, undertook reconnaissance of the movements of Aushotosh Maharaj, Baba Pyare Bhaniaranwala and Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, P S Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal have been carried out.

Attempts have also been made on the lives of Baba Pyare Singh Bhaniaranwala and Aushotosh Maharaj. In view of the above, the memo says, "it is requested that security of all above individuals may be reviewed."

In just three months, the Delhi Police has arrested six Babbar Khalsa militants who have been planning to carry out attacks on leaders of religious sects. On January 4, they arrested four BKI militants Baljeet Singh Bikkar Singh, Kulwinderjeet Singh and Tirlochan Singh. On the hit list of the terrorists were four other prominent personalities of Punjab, the police said. Four pistols and 124 live cartridges were allegedly seized from their possession.

Yesterday, the special cell of the Delhi Police arrested two BKI militants Jaswant Singh and Surender Singh from Jallandhar in Punjab yesterday.

its amazing how they catch sikhs "planning to do something" left and right

and the characters running around who KILLED people are roaming free and they need committee after committee and inquiry after inquiry to see if they should be arrested.

this is called slavery. this is called gulaami. this game has been played since 1947. a sikh is presumed guilty until found innocent. a hindu is innocent even if guilty.

yeah i used the word hindu. the truth is the truth.
