The Devil In Disguise Written by an enlightened soul! When I was a kid I hid behind a pillow while watching Count Dracula about to bite the neck of some poor girl. And then trying to creep upstairs past the open window was terrible. Thoughts of "What if a vampire bat flies and bites me?" We all like to feel a bit of fear and that's why we watch scary movies, and afterwards we can laugh it off "its not real – just a story." We can laugh of Count Dracula as a fictional character, but billions of people actually believe in the existance of the Devil. Listen to any Christian evangelist on the GOD channel screaming about how the Devil is running the world. O…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH In the time of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Jee, there was a Gursikh who lived in a poor little hut. This Gursikh was blind and had a lot of Pyaar for Guru Ji. As he couldn't travel anywhere he would ask people to go to see Guru Ji and then wait for there return to hear of Guru Jis well being. He would ask them what does my Guru Ji look like, How brave is he, what weapons does he keep, what stories does he tell, and each would reply "I cannot explain with words." One night he could not sleep, he kept thinking of Guru Ji and how wonderful he was. He longed so much to see the beautiful Mukh of Guru Maharaaj. He could not take it any …

http://www.sikh-history.com/literature/stories/sardarji.html Written in Urdu by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas ji Translated by Sardar Khushwant Singh ji published in an excellent book named Land of five rivers Sardarji MY NAME IS SHAIKH Burhanuddin. When violence and murder became the order of the day in Delhi and the blood of Muslims flowed in the streets, I cursed my fate for having a Sikh for a neighbour. Far from expecting him to come to my rescue in times of trouble, as a good neighbour should, I could not tell when he would thrust his kirpan into my belly. The truth is that till then I used to find the Sikhs somewhat laughable. But I also disliked them and was somewhat…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Akbar was a famous king of India. He is known as "Akbar the Great' in history. He was a kind and good king and respected the Sikh Gurus for their teachings. He always showed respect to the House of Nanak and had a special liking for his religion. In the year 1569, Akbar came to the Punjab and wanted to see the Guru. So he sent a message to Guru Amar Das that he was coming to visit him. The Sikhs were very happy at the news. Some Sikhs thought that special arrangements should be made to welcome the king. The Guru thought for a while and said, "Akbar is as much a human being as others are. The Guru's place is open to all. The king…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH 1. If you feel far away from God, guess who moved? 2. Fear knocked. Faith answered. No one was there. 3. What you are is God's gift to you. What you become is your gift to God. 4. I am God's melody of life and He sings His song through me. 5. We can never really go where God is not, and where He is, all is well. 6. No matter what is happening in your life, know that God is waiting for you with open arms. 7. God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage. 8. Do your best and then sleep in peace. God is awake. 9. God has a purpose and plan for me that no one else can fulfill. 10. The will of God will never take you to w…

so this morning as i was doing japji saahib, i knowit by heart so i came to "kidrat kavan kahaa vichaar vaariya na jaavaa ek vaar..." which, btw, is a beatiful line in its own right. my question is, after reading about so many "grammar" rules in the word of the day topics on W!N forums, i wanted to know if "vichaar" (vavaa nu sihaari) has any difference to "veechaar" (vavaa nu bihaari), even if the meanings are the same, but if origins are different or context slightly different, please do inform me. anyone who has this gyaan, please share  vaheguruji ka khalsa vaheguruji ki fateh
