Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear Gurbani Lovers! I have a curiosity. In Japuji Sahib after Guru's Vaak "hai bhee sach naanak hosee bhee sach" number '1' occurs. The same number '1' occurs again after Guru's Vaak "hukam rajaa-ee chalnaa naanak likhi-aa naal" Please explain what the use of same number '1' indicates at both the places? I will be grateful. Balbir Singh

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH sangat ji, i know the title sounds a bit strange...but i couldnt think of a better one. anyhoo, please take the time to read this story There was a rich merchant who had 4 wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to delicacies. He took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best. He also loved the 3rd wife very much. He's very proud of her and always wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other men. He too, loved his 2nd wife. She is a very considerate person, always patient and in fact is th…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Once a king in India went to Guru Nanak Dev Ji and asked, “ O Guru! As you told us that God Himself supports His true worshiper, but God has so many apostles, why does He support Himself? Why does not He send His apostles to help the worshiper?” As he said this, his own son who was playing at the bank of a river nearby slipped in the river. The king did not wait for a second and jumped in the river as well to save his child. After saving his child he returned to the Guru. The Guru asked, “My dear friend, you were sitting here with me a minute ago and why did u jump in the river?” King explained that his son had slipped in th…

*cut-paste from Tapoban forums...wonderful poem* This poem is written for those who have once taken Amrit, and have now left this path. Please send it to anyone who could possibly benefit from it, as we see many people these days, who took Amrit in the past, but have fallen from this path, and done beadbi of Kes, or have began turning to alcohol/drugs. Some lines may seem harsh, but sometimes we (myself included), need a wake-up call. I do not claim to be a good Sikh myself. Alot of this applies to me as well. YOU GAVE GURU GOBIND SINGH JI YOUR HEAD, BUT THEN YOU TOOK IT BACK Guru Gobind Singh Ji tried, to keep you on the right track You gave Him your head, but then …

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH I wont get a chance to post tomorrows sakhi, so im putting it up today. This sakhi leaves me speechless The green Thaeri Hills were soaked in blood. The powerful Pathan Army defended the hill top against a small troop of fearless Akalee soldiers. The Pathan Army heavily outnumbered the bravest battalion of the Khalsa Army, but these warrior lions of Guru Gobind Singh did not lose faith. United, like the waves in the ocean, by their deep blue battle-dress and turbans, they fought against all the odds and faced the rain of enemy bullets, stones, and arrows. Hacking their way through treachorous terrain, they hammered their way…

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Bibi Bhani was Guroo's Amar Das Jee's youngest daughter and used to attend her father regularly. She used to fan Him, draw water and also work in the kitchen. One day the Guroo was sitting on His couch (chauki) in deep meditation, when Bibi Bhani noticed that one leg of His couch had broken. Fearing that His meditation would be disturbed, she put her arm in place of the broken leg to support the couch. When the Guroo opened His eyes, He found blood coming out of Bibi Bhani's arm. On inquiry Bibi explained that the broken leg might have caused disturbance in His meditation and so she thought herself fortunate to serve th…
