  1. Mines really boring, i asked my mum why they called me Harpreet, apparently it's because it sounded nice! But this is a good excuse to ask, does anyone know what my name means, some people have said it means to love everyone Har - Preet, but others have said it means to love god...
  2. well just remember if the world didn't suck, we would all fall off!
  3. lol that's so true were so quick to judge others, but can't see its wrong when we do it ourselves. :WW: that's for the lesson :WW:
  4. personally i think it's the same as having pictures of the guru's in your house, but why would you want to sell it in the first place?
  5. wow i didn't know that, that's so interesting, Thank you :WW:

  7. Thank you waheguru... ...for helping me through all my difficult times... ...for blessing me with happy times... ...and for being my companion always! :WW: :WW:
  8. Thanks for advice Balait_da_Sher Ji... I do hope to complete a degree in the future buh even tht costs alot of money these days and Students Loans only cover so much, espically if you have dependents. I have been focusing on Clerical jobs but they usually ask for atleast 1 year experience. I have got several interviews coming up since posting so lets hope I have some sucess. Rupinder Ji Im in middle of Leicester and Coventry...can work in both areas but prefer Leicester. The best thing is to do some work experience, phone your local crown or magistartes courts, tell them your thinking of studying law, and ask if they would let you get some work experience for a week or 2! they won't say no! I did this, my first clerical job after uni, i got based on all the work experience i'd done, i was picked from 40 candidates, so it works and the courts look good on your CV because eveyone seems to think you have to be really clever and smart to work there Uni is too expensive now, wait untill you can support yourself, or you will end up 15k in debt and if your going to support the fam this isn't going to help. Hope this helps! wjkk wjkf
  9. that's probably the most moving translation of mool mantra that i've seen wow! :WW:
  10. Im sure i saw this on zee news like earlier this year, still horrified by it though!
  11. well i'm sort of going through that phase now. i'll be honest i do want to marry someone who is educated like me, mainly beacuse we would have had the same experiences and better understanding of each other...hopefully! but i don't mind if they dont have a degree, as long as they are hard-working. moneys not really an issue because i can work, i just want a house in a nice neighbourhood, so its safe for my children to go out and play lol! i'm not at all bothered about flash cars and the like! Personally ive found that, of those who parents have introdcued me to, the ones who wern't educated didn't really click with me, and half of them were pretty lazy and im sure they wouldn't have minded going through their whole lives on the dole! i think if you've got 2 hands to work with you should work, and not live off the state! But i want to add im sure not everyone without a degree is like that...just most of the people ive met for some reason lol! truly sorry if ive offended anyone, i sound a right snob. wjkk wjkf

  14. sometimes family's are fearful of what other people will say...i.e when my brother stopped eating meat, the dad's first reaction was 'what will people say when we go to parties and things'.
  15. Bollywood today has totally lost the plot, i stopped watching bollywood movies a while back...with the exception of laagan :awesome But why are singhs with turbans, in most bollywood movies, always the joke character; you the funny guy who no-one takes seriously. can someone explain this?
  16. Guru ji will help you find a way....... i found this gurdwara round the corner from where i work, so i try to go twice a week during my longer lunch breaks, and becuase its a small gurdwara theres always so much more opportunity to do seva, i'm so glad i got this job! So just don't worry! i spent most of the summer feeling like this, then i got this job, and i started doing more paath, adding other things to the japji sahib i was doing everyday. that helped me so much! I hope that helps, wjkk wjkf
