  1. Maninder Pal Singh Kohli was a sandwich delivery driver Girl 'called 999 before murder' A 17-year-old girl whose body was found at a roadside called 999 after she was abducted by her alleged killer, a court has heard. Hannah Foster hoped the emergency services operator would hear the conversation with Marinder Pal Singh Kohli, Winchester Crown Court heard. The prosecution alleges it was Mr Kohli's voice heard during the call. Hannah disappeared after a night out in Southampton in 2003. Mr Kohli, 40, denies murder, rape, and kidnap. He also denies a charge of false imprisonment. Nicholas Haggan QC, prosecuting, said the operator could not hear what was being said and there was a system which disconnected the call after a short time to stop accidental emergency calls clogging up the system. Found strangled Mr Haggan said it was the crown's case that the driver of the vehicle heard speaking on the tape was Mr Kohli, a sandwich delivery driver. The jury heard that Hannah disappeared on 14 March 2003 after a night out with friends. She was found strangled in Allington Lane in West End, near Southampton, two days later. Mr Haggan said she was walking a short distance from a bus stop to her home in Southampton when she disappeared. "At 11pm that evening, Hannah managed to use her mobile phone to contact the emergency services. "It's quite obvious from the recording that she was in a moving vehicle. In that vehicle with her was a man. "That man was speaking to her in a heavily-accented voice." The trial continues.
  2. Human evolution coming to a halt Human evolution is grinding to a halt, according to a leading genetics expert. The gloomy message from Professor Steve Jones is: this is as good as it gets. Prof Jones, from the Department of Genetics, Evolution and Environment at University College London, believes the mechanisms of evolution are winding down in the human race. At least in the developed world, humans are now as close to utopia as they are ever likely to be, he argues. Speaking at a UCL Lunch Hour Lecture in London, Prof Jones said there were three components to evolution - natural selection, mutation and random change. He said: "In ancient times half our children would have died by the age of twenty. Now, in the Western world, 98% of them are surviving to the age of 21. Our life expectancy is now so good that eliminating all accidents and infectious diseases would only raise it by a further two years. Natural selection no longer has death as a handy tool." Mutation rate was also slowing down, he said. Although chemicals and radioactive pollution could cause genetic changes, one of the most important mutation triggers was advanced age in men. "Perhaps surprisingly, the age of reproduction has gone down - the mean age of male reproduction means that most conceive no children after the age of 35," said Prof Jones. "Fewer older fathers means that if anything, mutation is going down." Random alterations to the human genetic blueprint were also less likely in a world that had become an ethnic melting pot, according to Prof Jones. He said: "Humans are 10,000 times more common than we should be, according to the rules of the animal kingdom, and we have agriculture to thank for that. Without farming, the world population would probably have reached half a million by now - about the size of the population of Glasgow. "Small populations which are isolated can change - evolve - at random as genes are accidentally lost. Worldwide, all populations are becoming connected and the opportunity for random change is dwindling. History is made in bed, but nowadays the beds are getting closer together. Almost everywhere, inbreeding is becoming less common. In Britain, one marriage in fifty or so is between members of a different ethnic group, and the country is one of the most sexually open in the world. We are mixing into a global mass, and the future is brown." He added: "So, if you are worried about what utopia is going to be like, don't; at least in the developed world, and at least for the time being, you are living in it now."
  3. The mind is a projection of the external world, the mind is not your true nature. Everything to a certain degree has been absorbed inwards nothing has projected outwards. We may argue that we do project outwards for example the thought process, speech, actions etc etc…yes true, but the original action was for the mind to take in, the mind to assimilate then the mind performs its actions. As complex as it may be the mind is not your true quality or nature. In short, in human form the mind knows rational thought, this enables us to think and use logic. In most animal forms with the exception of three, rational thought and logic is less more so the animal is motivated by desire, to survive, eat, sleep, defecate, sex not that much different to how some people choose to live. This is the unconscious existence.

  5. Whatever may be the case we all acknowledge that Guruship ended with Guru Granth Sahib ji, we can never categorically establish the truth surrounding Baba Banda Ji so much of our history is corrupted. What we do know, do understand and agree on he without any question was a fundamental character who with respect has engrained himself in Indian history. Whatever the case he clearly experienced life, pain and death without detracting from his staunch belief for that he commands respect from every opinion. So often we project opinions from our own life experiences, we cannot possibly understand the upheaval and turbulent climate that was experienced back then they experienced life at a totally different level to what we think we may know. To know of something and to experience something are worlds apart.
  6. 1santkhalsa Obviously not because if that was the case he would still be doing what he was prosecuted for. I don’t want to spoil the party I just think its strange for a people who are meant to live conscious lives to celebrate the burning and death of another being seems bizarre. We often complain that there is no justice and equality for Sikhs in India and yes history has shown there has not been but here we can say that justice to some degree has been served and for him then to be burned and die is wrong equally the label the two who did it as panthic heroes is also worrying. There are those that fought hard to get Poola arrested and put on trial and sentenced they obviously had faith in the legal system. Guru Maharaj said “ when all other means have failed..” Other means like the justice system had not failed here it had worked. For us then to develop a lynch mob mentality is very worrying. End.
  7. In short Civilisations, people create temporal laws, Poola was in prison for his crimes, law and order not always perfect and at times get it wrong but the system tries to do the right thing and often get it right. Massa Ranghar existed at a time when there was no impartial law. The law in this instant prosecuted Poola for his crimes and he was doing his time. With this mentality we’ll be burning and hanging people as they did in the middle ages. An eye for an eye….the world becomes blind.
  8. It’s okay to burn a person to death, regardless, funny that’s the same mentality as Poolas, take away the falsehood of decency and we’re all pretty much the same. Poola is very much alive.
  9. My analysis has been it’s a two way mentality you have those that consider themselves jatts and tharkans with a superiority complex even between themselves! Then you have chamars who that have become caste paranoid and despite any good intentions they continue to play the caste card. Now before the liberal left go nuts on me please read what’s been written, I state “those that consider themselves”. Modern day Indian Panjab etc has made the chamars from yesterday in to the jatts of today by discriminating against jatts and punishing them for years of financial and social affluence. Jatts cant get jobs, farming problems etc. You don’t see chamars committing suicide do you? There was a solution it was the two finger solute Sikhi gave to the caste system but mans need to superior tribes has even over come that. This is everywhere it is deeply rooted in Panjabi Indian culture and mentality it is man tribal created. It is even deeply rooted in the panth jathas etc, even monae’ and keshdaries suffer with it. I am not saying this is happening all the time but if you take the layers away its there and that’s the truth. Its only my opinion but I believe Sikhi and the Gurus did not materialise to serve themselves, they came to serve mankind. If Sikhs of whatever background cant grasp the concept of equality and opportunity it is not Sikhi or the Gurus who have failed it is the so called Sikhs who have failed. There is a saying “do not judge Christ by the state of Christians” I think that applies very much to Sikhi also “ do not judge The Guru and Sikhi by the state of Sikhs. Truth brutally beautiful
  10. The fact I have or have not is not really relevant, however to demonstrate the total and utter backwater mentality people suffer from I will answer it. I know Niddar Singh, I have spoken with Niddar Singh, I have met Niddar Singh. There is stuff we agree on and stuff we don’t but I do agree with him on the science of Jung Vidya and at the end of the day that’s all I‘m interested in. Do I attend his classes? No I don’t, why not? Because I practice other arts. By the way he doesn’t teach gatka, if you going to try character assassination please get the facts right to begin with. I hope this explanation was to your liking? But really I couldn’t care less I‘m not here to impress people by claiming to be some righteous moralist like some here. Saying that I do believe in civil conduct hence why this started, people have the right to opinion and ask questions without others offering violence and racism as an answer, funny thing being the very same people are the ones who project themselves as being all righteous moralists, this is trend that a lot of jiwans seem to suffer from today.
  11. I don’t worship idols or anyone but Nirankar Vaheguru, if you would like me to leave I suggest you and others petition the admin of this forum and I will leave. Why do I have a picture of Shiva up? Because Shiva represents “That which is not” and he cheeses narrow minded village folk off. So in your view "Narrow minded Village Folks" have no value they are not worthy of Guru's Bani? Explain What is Nirankar in your view? Net Warrior Please learn to analyse what is stated and that’s just you trying to play a tribal card and it’s a pretty transparent move, very obvious really. As for explaining Nirankar I cant and no body can except of course perhaps your good self? your move.

  13. Man do you have issues! you carry on like that in life and some one will take you out one day. This is a discussion forum not a place for you to flex your pecs.
  14. Maybe people are better off drinking it rather than spitting moral venom everywhere they go. What applies to you, does not apply to me nor the billions of other existing right now, never again will there be another one like me, you or any individual of the billions out there, celebrate your time here. The body, mind and emotion is the vehicle, Rehit is the fully loaded package and GuruJi is the Satnav…your rides been pimped out enjoy the journey of life and stop wrangling over nonsense.
  15. Not unless you have Sarbloh lungs. :D
  16. Bagkti and yoga are two different systems. True Yoga is about dissolving and merging of everything into the nothingness of the unlimited.
  17. There are two types ones like most here obsessed with the banter of religions and life waiting for the moment, the saviour, the prophecy, the god in some form or another. But they wait too scared to step up to the mark. Religion God and Guru is for them just a fragile security. The second cares nothing for the religious ritualistic belief systems, nothing for life nothing for death they realise the god within and simply wish to merge with that which is unbound and limitless. A Sikh has no prohibitions no rules no regulations A True Sikhs life is living consciously what they do is out of realisation of the ultimate truth. A step in to the infinite is a step within. So understand the limited mind, the limited body, the limited self created personality, In yourself is God, be this and be free.
  18. True but most of us cant do diddlysquat, how many of us must systematically recite Bani and still remain spiritually dead. God,Guru and Bani is unquestionable what is questionable is our true motives and true intentions, What part is devotion and what part is deception? How true are we to our inner most selves? How much do we value truth in its ultimate beautiful hideous reality ? Sat Sri Akaal
  19. Sarbloh used in Shastars unless bludgeon weapons is useless, the most useless being Sarbloh Kirpans, I use the term generally, save your money and buy Indo-Persian shastars, Damascus steel and others of equal calibre. I've seen better kitchen knives then these sarbloh kirpans
  20. Cemeteries have a habit of having attmas hanging around them; usually ones that can’t let go of the physical existence. If someone was to do tapasia, bagti, simran, yoga etc etc in such a place they would need to be very spiritually advanced. The reason being if a person was to undertake such a thing they would naturally attract the disembodied that because of their nature are attracted to the source of Bagti etc as they generally only work of their tendencies but they do understand that this source can also lead to salvation, mukti, etc etc in a very basic form of understanding. They would and could create all sorts of problems for the practitioner who is unprepared.

  22. could u please ellaborate on this line "So far as to say the single Attma that is contributed to your own self is also unlimited it can multiply inexhaustibly. So one can be one or ten or whatever". Are u saying that 1 soul can like replicate many times maybe forming lie 10 more soulss?? was just a bit confused because i havent heard of this before prob bcs i dont have mch knowledgee.thaanks :Re: The quality and quantity of Attma is immeasurable, but if we for the sake of understanding now we choose to analyse it we could say that fundamentally more than one quality of Attma can exist at the same time. If this was the scenario the Attma in this situation is acting consciously with awareness which is not always the case with Attma as it can also act on tendency and desire. The problem here is how to explain something that is beyond logic and comprehension so I will give you an example to help clarity. Two or more people can be existing at the same time but with a single and same quality of Attma, here it is done for a reason and the two personalities of the single Attma exist for a purpose of the reason fully aware of the situation. Only someone or I should say Attma that has full capability and control can achieve such things. So one can be ten or however many it chooses because the limitless is unbound and cannot be measured in essence Attma is a quality of Prathma, Sargun is quality of Nirgun. So the God we go looking for here and there is sitting inside wondering when the personality mind, body, emotion will come to realise it. Funny really when you come to think about it!
