  1. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Bhai Sahib Jee are still in UK. Southall programs are still going ahead this week. Tonight is New Year's Eve smaagam! Waheguroo
  2. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! My contribution to this debate is not personal experience, but nevertheless from a person who got very close to those with the Tarmaala Jatha, and then pulled out after about a year. Main reasons he left was that although he liked the emphasis on Naam Simran - Singhs in the Jatha would congregate at weekends for 8 hours or more of straight Saas-Giraas Simran Abhiyaas - he was unnerved by being told that Nitnem and reading Bani is not important. He also got disaffected with the constant promises that if you do Simran with us, then you'll be able to reach certain Avasthaa. E.g., you'll be able to read people's mind. One of the Tarmaala Singhs always told him that his soul went regularly to the moon and other planets. There was a general sense of boasting of what individuals had/were achieving through Simran. This he felt was leading into displaying Ridhiaa-Sidhiyaa, which Gursikhs must avoid/overcome. Also, he felt that Sikhi Kamaiye should be kept Gupt, rather than flashed about. His experiences led me to steer clear of the Tarmaala Jatha. Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo
  3. YouTube link to Keertan by Bhai Niranjan Singh Jee at the Barsi Smaagam. Was tooooo good!!
  4. That's correct jee, Bhai Sahib is at Singh Sabha Southall, Park Avenue from Sunday 30 December to Sunday 6 January. Diwans are from 5.30pm to 6.30pm each evening, except Sundays, which are from 1.30pm to 2.30pm. Waheguroo
  5. With blessings of Guroo Jee, Smaagam was Chardikala. It was one of the rare occasions (in UK anyways) of full observance of Akhand Paath Sahib Maryada. Great to see, as was the extent of participation of naujawaan sevadaars! The Darbaar Hall had such a great atmosphere, the Bhagtee and Kamaiye of Baba Jee could just be felt there throughout. Venue was also a great choice Can't wait till next year. Waheguroo

  9. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! How is Milton Keynes a random choice? Good thinking by smaagam organisers - MK is 50-50 between london and birmingham on the M1-M6 corridor! thanks to sevadaars for being so considerate to non-west midlands sangat! Waheguroo
  10. Veer jee - lesson I think to learn is that if anyone and everyone treats Gurbani as the Jaagdee-Jot of Guroo Nanak Dev Sahib Jee, and does Paath with full pyaar and devotion, then Guroo Sahib does Kirpaa and blessings to that Sikh to bring him on to Guroo Jee's path, and provides understanding of GurMat to that Sikh. Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo

  13. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Reason why no (or very few) Ragi Jathas do keertan at Nishkam Sevak Jatha is because Nishkam Sevak Jatha does Nishkam keertan. Very few Ragi Jathas that will do keertan for nothing; sadly, the state of affairs these days is that the $$$ is the only consideration for many Ragi Jathas! Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo
  14. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I wasn't at the program in Hitchin, but it was arranged by the Sant Singh Jee Maskeen Memorial Trust, and the veechaars forwarded by the Jathedaar were in relation to the 300 years Gurgaddi Divas of Guroo Granth Sahib Jee. From my understanding, recordings were made of the program, and I will attempt to arrange for these to be put on to the internet in due course. Bhul Chuk Maaf, Waheguroo
