  1. a sportster is for girls  get a fatboy or a deuce  My dad got one of the first 10 Victory visions last year. Victory is a good bike company that broke off of HD. All the first visions were made per order and were all custom. I can tell you victory bikes are tight he got mad at me for riding one without a helmet and then I did wear a helmet about 5 years ago. Super quick and made bugs feel like someone shot a rock at my face with a slingshot. HD arent all that, mostly they are over priced due to the name while a victory is the same thing and you get more power for your money. Who wouldnt want a FATEH bike. :D http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://mtinbusiness.com/inbiz-0806/art/Victory-Vision.jpg&imgrefurl=http://mtinbusiness.com/inbiz-0806/bus11.php&usg=__A1_pRuneKNonRATq3vDywpP0ZbU=&h=276&w=450&sz=50&hl=en&start=23&um=1&tbnid=ULBQg_IkTZS-gM:&tbnh=78&tbnw=127&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dvictory%2Bvision%26ndsp%3D18%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN%26start%3D18%26um%3D1 http://images.google...sa%3DN%26um%3D1
  2. She is actually fine with it (as it is tradition) she doesnt feel married away to some evil knight like on a movie etc, they are actually really nice. Whats funny is they tried to make fun of me dressing as a Sikh but they both wear normal clothes and on the wedding they dressed up as traditional hmong clothes (which in the US looks very strange compared to the hiphop style clothes) and I said "and you think I dress funny, I wear this 99% of the time while you wore that for a few hours of your entire life". Im not saying they are bad or anything but if you compare their rap style with the traditional dresses of both men and women youll know that he had to of felt "wierd' wearing his outfit for those few hours then after wearing the normal hiphop clothes driving his brand new toyota truckogle the hmong traditional dress of men/women to see what Im talking about, and they were trying to make fun of me hehehe
  3. OK he actually "BOUGHT" his wife. Me and my wife talked to him about it, he himself said BUY. I know what Im saying I thought before I said this, and again "HE BOUGHT his wife". If you want me to reword it I guess i can. I respect females and actually my wife has more say than I do (and sometimes she abuses that right but I still give her all the say) I dont disrespect females by relaying this actual fact that a hmong guy I used to work with BOUGHT his wife. Maybe some people have personal grudges against what I say most of the time, but this is ridiculous. I guess if you got the guys phone number youll still blame me when he tells you its hmong tradition to ""BUY" your wife from her family. Come on and lets not be either racist or prejudice now. :6
  4. He wanted to get married so he needed to buy his wife for $20000.00 and in order to buy her he had to borrow twenty grand from his uncle. Yes he bought her from her family(not joking he bought her)
  5. Every ravidassia Ive talked to have their cowardly say and then run off and hide. And then Radosuamis that try to get me to hang out (they think I dont know my Sikhi  )
  6. its lame. A body is not worth any money no matter how rich a person is, celebrity or poor the body has no monetary value. I knew a hmong guy who had to buy his wife for $20000.00 and has to work very hard to pay his uncle back the loan etc.
  7. We also seem to do Asa di Vaar at 6am to 8-9am etc? Why does that slide by but Sohee Raag for Anand Karaaj not workout? *edited*
  8. That wasn't neccessary... many things about our Sikh community is sad but true. I know many of us know many people who are vegetarian but are beyond foolish with daily conduct. There is no need to candycoat that statement to pretend his is not true
  9. eatting halal meat is one of the 4 sins, not eating meat "jelps" your mind focus withoutn the greedy tongue wanting all sorts of meats, and also meat has lots of fat and rots the body and clogs blood veins/vessels. Guru Hargobind Ji said not to eat meat and we shouldnt but since you didnt pay attention before you ate it means you need to pay attention to yourself of what you do/say/think and then you will be on a better track and wont make other obvious mistakes. If you think before you eat something then you wont have these concious guilts you are having. Think "BEFORE" you do/say/think/eat something. Do 5 JapJi and Ardas, and do some Langar seva (the lowest nitty gritty seva) and then do another Ardas for not thinking before you ate something. You are supposed to remember Vaheguru in every morsel of food and besides not thinking of Vaheguru you werent even thinking about not eating egg product foods etc, and thats the thing you need to do your personal tankhiya seva for. All the high spirited Sants(not talking about bhangi sadus  ) never ate meat, but just because you dont eat meat doesnt make you pure. I personally dont eat meat and I certainly dont encourage people to eat meat but just because you dont eat meat doesnt make you good. having a good mindset is wat makes you good and in my expierience I feel not eating meat "helps" one gain a better understanding of the mind so for that reason I feel is why we shouldnt eat meat. ie how many idiots do you know that wear a turban or a chunni and dont eat meat but still are beyond foolish????????? Follow bibek Sahib.
  10. superstitions are creeping in on everything, Anand Karaaj should be earlier in the morning but if at 3pm I dont see how that can "affect' the marriage etc. Amrit Sanchaars should be at Amritvela but they now take place during the after noon also? How about lets be actual Sikhs instead of complaining about everything, while we ourselves follow about 3.7% of Sikhi. Lets all actually be the few "practicing Sikhs" in our families rather than the millions that fall into societies jal
  11. The dasam Granth "REFERS" to the backstory of hinduism, it does not say worship avtars of Gods and in fact says the exact opposite saying boldly "DO NOT WORSHIP AVTARS OF GOD(S)" Guru Granth Sahib uses "references" to islam and hinmdu scriptures but we dont get the idea of be a hindu Sikh muslim  People that dont understand how to know Dasam Bani most likely dont even follow Sikhi correctly and thats why they are being mislead by their own follish mind. I get people who say because I follow Guru Granth Sahib Im a muislim and then others say because I follow Guru Granth Sahib Im hindu, but the fact is I follow Guru Granth Sahib so Im a Sikh but a fool cant understand that basically simple fact. Its like getting a kid to understand physics but those who aquire knowledge thru following rehat then they are the kid (intelligent youth) teaching the foolish adults that dont follow the tenents of Sikhi to understand physics etc. Read Dasam Bani and then understand Guru Sahib is refeering to all the stuff hindus believe in, he gives account of what we should know but not follow. And Guru Sahib actually had a pothi Sahib made previously before the Dasam Granth but it was lost after the battle of Chaumkar in the river along with a few Adi Granths and other manuscripts etc (maybe they were lost because they were writings that could have been easily distorted to fit into the hands of fanatical hindus and then later were redefined to better suit Sikhi after Guru Gobind Singh left the world.) Bhai Mani Singh compiled the Dasam Granth 20 years after Guru Gobind Singh left the world and that is one major reson why it should not be held at par with bonified Shabad Guru Granth Sahib, although the writings are authentic because Jaap Sahib/Tav Trasad S./Chaupai are critically required to have as morning Nitnaym and Khanda-di-Pahul, and the other writings are a "cliffnotes" for hinduism so we dont have to study for 700 years all the backstory of what hindus claim to be true in religious worship etc. If you dont understand Dasam Bani then ask specific questions rather than tasting 1 soup and saying youve tased every soup known to the world. Vaheguru
  12. To tell ya the truth I felt very comfortable doing paat after I posted the last post, and tonight Ill read a longer Shabad(and I will definitely feel the most comfortable ever :D ) When I ask in person to people I feel mixed results and sometimes I feel I should straight up ignore the supposed "advice" or "instruction" I get from some people when I have these types of conversations etc. Now I just have to work on my wpm so I can read more angs in a certain period of time etc........ Vaheguru
  13. I am going to start building them(I should start a company making those types of things etc), cause Ive searched around and people want an arm and a leg for a palki, and I know they dont cost that much to construct etc.
  14. Maybe just super focus on Sikhi and he will notice that you are wanting to get the most involved with Sikhi and Guru Sahib first and then him second (Thats how a marraige should be) Maybe he will want to be a Sikh too or maybe he will not want that as a result of being married and maybe he might have a talk with you about him not wanting to be involved with Sikhi. I think telling him wat you posted will probably be the best thing. Vaheguru
  15. Ive even heard someone saying you dont pronounce the (i) at the end of Gurprasad(i), but the vowel (i) is put before the consonant so it should be pronounced as it was put before the end letter meaning to pronounce it after the last letter(of which the vowel was put before the last letter etc) Do you mean Anandu Sahib :D ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਅਨੰਦੁ I havent been trying too hard to do Gurbani Kanth because I still want to learn exact pronounciation and until I feel comfortable with my pronounciation. The Gurdwara allowed me to have Guru Granth Sahib at my house for a while, and I do Paat exactly from what is written, even though I do compare how others read and sometimes it doesnt make sense why adding things here and there, most of the time they use Lardivaar examples which sounds logical but until then(able to do paat of Larivaar) Im going to do exactly how its written. I like to read slower so I dont miss any vowels etc but I do need to work on reading more words per min so I can start helping with Akhand Paat Seva etc. ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ I hear Kirpa and I also hear kripa and I also hear people say kirpa in one Shabad and Kripa in the next even though its spelt the same as in the So Purakh Shabad. I need to hold a regularly pronounciation and I catch myself reading Kirpa one time and Kripa another, and now Im feeling guilty of switching back and forth in order to not feel wrong sometimes but switching back and forth I feel now is wrong and I should pronounce ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ strictly as Kripa (because this is the same rule as my name) ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ is not pronounced as Pirtham but is pronouced PRitham etc so wats your view on the word ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ Vaheguru
  16. (cheapest Mala) Just tie knots on a small rope/string etc. Its only about focus and after a while you wont even need a mala as Naam "should" become in every swaas.
  17. 9-11 had a major/huge impact on Sikhs. But I can say from personal experience that it also showed many people what Sikhi even is after comparison analysis of islam. Many people think anyone wearing a turban is muslim because taliban wear latapati turbans but there also are people who know 99% of people that wear turbans in USA are Sikhs now that they have been given facts instead of media bias showing Sikhs as muslims. A news report about 6 years ago filmed Sikhs at the Gurdwara(my area) and called it a mosque and "on the news". What lies :o They never came back with a follow up story saying "ohh yeah we are stupid and misleading we called this SIKH Gurdwara a mosque on accident, Im sorry to the Sikhs whom were targeted as a muslim for our stupid news story that was a lie trying to make Sikhs look like some taliban infiltrators and we are also sorry to the general public for you trusting us when we dont even report the truth and youll take our word for it whether its a lie or truth because we know you general public folk take the news as biblical scripture"
  18. Even Taksal has many different ways of recitation. I think Im going to start only saying what is written. ................ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ People add a "G" to Saibhan(N) It isnt even a "g" nasal sound. It is a "N" nasal sound, and then some people swear up and down the G is connected or then it would be "Ur Prasad" and not "GUR Prasad". There is a huge difference to making a "G nasal" and making a "N nasal" sound Then some people are taught to add and 'n' to Maagey at the end of Sohila Paat. (antharajaamee purakh bidhhaathae saradhhaa man kee poorae. naanak dhaas eihai sukh ਮਾਗੈ mo ko kar santhan kee dhhoorae.) I can not see the "n" sound and some add it saying it only makes the word make sense by adding the "n". ਮਾਗ= to beg/ask some say it only means to ask/beg if you add the 'n", so are they saying Guru Sahib "accidently forgot to add the n"? :6 These are just two simple ways of differences and that is why I feel its best just to read everything the way it is written. I do feel it is important to have someone teach you Santhiya but then again the person you pick to teach you , their rules must be followed, so choosing someone who agrees with your points on recitation is the best thing. (Ive done alot of research about the original print in manuscripts of Gurubani etc) What rules do you go by, taksal 1, 2, 3 or which basis of recitation do you go by other than Taksal etc?????? Some act as if Taksal is the only institution that pronounces correct and others dont but Taksal has different ways itself etc. VAHEGURU
  19. People "adopt" religion is prison/jails to be given religious rights that they only follow to get respect and free time etc. Its a scam Id say 7000% of the time
  20. SO you are saying Guru Granth Sahib was not Guru until this day(in the video) SO the tilak was as history tells applied when given Guruship, so Guru Gobind Singh didnt give Guruship to Guru Granth Sahib but waited for some stooge to apply tilak 300 years later?????????????? History says "apon being given Guruship" but did Guru Gobind Singh desecrate Guru Granth Sahib by giving tilak?????? Would he have not given the mark on the outside of the Guru Granth(if he even did give tilak to Shabad Guru, five paise and coconut laid in front was told by history but not about tilak. The Palki Sahib is Guru Granth Sahibs Kalgi. A few main points to shout out about this 1) You cant take off the rumala of Guru Granth Sahib and not be reciting(You cant open Guru Granth Sahib up just to stare at the angs like a stooge) 2) Many stooges are walking up and applying tilak like they have authority over Guru Sahib needing tilak.(Many people you can see asking to apply and laughing it off when they are ignored) 3) The supposed "panj pyare" are not doing anything but allowing beeaadbi to happen(They should be the first swinging SriSahibs and protecting Shabad guru Sahib. 4) People are writing "over the Gurubani" the ink on the Ang is the only thing needed to be written and they are writing their "ik oankar' "over the already established Gurubani" 5) OMG I cant understand how STUPID/DUMB a huge group of people can be(Im not calling them Sadh Sanhgat cause they are not if they can allow beeaadbi and then shout bole so nihal) 6) Upon given Gurugaddi the presiding Guru didnt pour a pile of coconuts and give any amount of money other than the five paise.(Guru Teg Bahadar was specific with being give 5 paise no more no less) People in the video need to be smacked and applied tilak on their eyeballs with crushed kalunji pepper  The only thing I thought was kewl was the SadhuJi with a Turban on(It suits him rather than dreadlocks openly visible) :o OH MY VAHEGURU :o
  21. The song is now posted on my myspace link on my signature. www.myspace.com/keerpamusic Its 5:51seconds. It is the first song on the list. I was thinking of writing a song and this is what came out after changing around the original acoustic guitar that I was playing as the melody etc I used to have a macbook with good video editing but now I only have a studio desktop and I mainly have my protools studio recording program and tossed all the extra programs to make the most room on the hard drive so I dont have any video editing capabilities. I was wanting to use the video to promote the forum and bring people in that actually have little knowledge of Sikhi and need a place to come and ask questions and the forum is one of the best places to learn and not feel embrassed to ask the usual "alien questions" etc Anyone here want to help promote "Sikhs needing to actually be Sikhs" and highlighting the fact that many people just try to be "kewl" and not actually a Sikh of Guru Sahib, youth trade rehat for street slang and foolishness, or Sikh Bana/Roop for plastic smiles and GQ looks to try to impresss society. I want the beginning to have this websites address and the end have it also, and the video/slideshow showing the modern day Sikh youths kaysh beeaadbi and societies promotion of lookiong "kewl" and towards the end highlight the youth that maintain the Sikh identity as a way to show people that have nothing to do with Sikhi that call themselves Sikhs to wake up and adopt the Roop of Guru Sahiban and become a Sikh of Guru Panth and promote people living in the Hukam of Vaheguru as given to us by each Guru Sahib and stated by GurSikhs for the last 300 years. In the video showing proof of Rehat needing to be followed and the consequence of not following rehat while "claiming' to be a "SIKH". "If you are not part of the solution then you are a part of the problem." :D Vaheguru
  22. I am almost done writing a song and I want to add the audio to a slideshow of pics about kurbani of Sikhi and how alot of todays youth are careless about religion and Sikhi etc. I want this song to be a sort of "wake up call" to people who need to check within themselves of overlooking sacrifices made by men/women Sikhs of our history etc???? The song is 5 mins long so if someone could collab with me on this let me know and Ill hook up with the instrumental song (its nice song but not kirtan etc) but def will hold its ground in the slideshow etc. ANYONE?(or two) :D
  23. www.srigranth.com Read Gurbani (dont be too attached to her cause if you cant be with her then you "will die?" do you remember God or do you only remember her???????)
