Theres many towns / cities named after English army officials. Montgomery now known as Sahiwal and Lyallpur known as faisalabad. In Sarkar-e-Khalsa raj these towns did not exist. There were many jungle and desert areas. The British colonised these areas. They made canals etc. They proved to be the most fertile area in Punjab. My mother who was born in UK her ancestors are from Montgomery area. It is typicall the names of villages in these areas are not proper indeginous village names whereas they were given the title 'chak' which is common prefix and the a number and then an english letter for example chak 12 - 3 A. etc. It was all organised by the brits so Chak 89- 11 - M is another example. In coloney areas which are in Pakistan many pinds have these names. Lyall was also going to be prefixed to the first Khalsa College but he humbley requested his name not to be pre fixed to the college name so instead of Lyall Khalsa Collge it was named only Khalasa College.

In all asian cities look at the inner city area full of muslims in council housing or high raise flats. Sikhs always live in the suburbs. Southall is not a ghetto of one community. Its not like 20 years back, now there loads of Somali, Afghan and others also there have always been pakistanis. BTW not all muslims are underachievers there are loads of multi millionaire Pakistanis and Bangladeshis but on average Gujrati or African Gujrati (Hindu & Muslims) are really well off finacially. Obvousily Sikh / Punjabis are also just look at how many of your family drive Phantoms, Bentleys, BM's Merc etc. are standard.

My ancestors are from farming background (Jatt / Zamindar), and what you are saying is a load of BS. Sikhs are Sikhs. Full stop. Also like you say about more people of a certain caste outside of punjab than in well guess what, theres more Punjabis in Pakistan than in India. Whats more there are more Jatts in Pakistan Punjab than in Indian Punjab. They are Muslim in Punjab province and in Punjab State Sikh.

india does not allow dual nationality, so you cant have both passports. you cant travel on indian passport if your a citizen here. they charge you for the visas you should have paid for and a penalty if u travel on indian passport whilst being a citizen here. what you can have is a pio or oci which looks like a passport but is a lifelong visa. there was talk about oci and pio holders to have the right to vote in india. dont know if it was passed.

If it was for example 'khereh dharam nu mandeh hoo atthe apna Guru JI khis nu mandeh hoo?' would have been better, as it just seems like as they charged SO much for akhand path and made SO much money they where targetted. I was born in UK and so where my mum and dad, I was not really into religion up until recently. Those of you who know me will know that my wife was born to Hindu family. We had anad karaj at Gurdwara I was married in 2004 no other hindu fire ceremony. My surname is Singh but belong to Sandhu also. As I have never used Sandhu my wife uses Kaur, not Sandhu. As I did not want her to be called Mrs Singh. I have a gorgeous wife and two gorgeous kids. There surname are Kaur and Singh. I try my best to educate them. We go Gurdwara every week, (OK only on Sundays but small steps are better than being stagnent, as there too young to enroll in punjabi school). My wife has never ever objected to any Sikhi related things infact she embraces everything. OK we are not true Sikhs but what we do is with true sharda. Even my in laws pay full respect to Sikhi. I have never been told to embrace hindu religion infact opposite is that my in laws are proud there daughter married a decent guy who is from a sikh background. The sandesh of 2007 most gurdwareh do not abide by as only last autumn one of my white associates married a sikh girl at Havelock Road Singh Sabha the sandesh from 2007 was ignored.

I think last week or week before at Sri Har Krishen Gurdwara sahib in Oadby, Leicester the golak was stolen. The gurdwara sahib is only a few years old, they had scafolding up to do some repairs and the theives climbed up and entered and stole the golak. I only found out yesterday as my folks live in the area and told me. Maybe someone else may have more info. Once i get details I will inform. This is disgusting am i wrong in thinking only apne know that golak has cash in it so maybe one of our own was involved. As normal english theives would steal things they can sell such as the audio equipment, mics, amplifiers, speakers etc. Im not sure they have CCTV in darbar sahib but i think outside they do. After the EDL protest last year in which EDL said they would burn a mosque which they did not, after a few days some people threw petrol bombs at Gurughar, no serious damage was done but CCTV has been put up outside. The sangat at Gurdwara sahib is increasing Oadby is like the most posperous suburb of Leicester but the Gurdwara sahib is onthe outskirts on like an industrial estate. Right near the the Leicester Tigers Rugby training ground. (BTW Tigers are the best rugby union team in World, they won most European and priemership championships)

i dont think guys of sikh background marrying hindus dont be encoraged to convert to hinduism. moreso the girls start to practice sikh religion, more than hindu and allow kids to be raised as sikhs. also the girls family have respect and participate in sikh activities i.e. respect sggs ji vist gurdwara etc.

Why would the money they charge for an Akhan path sahib be an issue, if someone wants to pay then its upto them they are not forced to pay so much extra, are they? PLEASE don't take this the wrong way because Akhand path sahibs in UK vary from Gurdwara sahib to gurdwara sahib. Not sure exactly how much but someone in Gravesend told me for Akhand Path sahib or Anand Karaj in the new Gurdwara it costs a few thousand £. Whereas in smaller Gurughars it's lower. Also in the UK bigger prestigous Gurdwareh charge more for various services. There should be a fixed fee and obviously the langar expense should be seperate depending on the sangat. Maybe Sri Akal Takhat Sahib needs to set fixed fees for various services / paths, adjusting for different countries so there can be no dispute.

The point I wanted to make was highlight her flaws i.e. points 1-5. What is the need to bring negativity it into, by marking out she supports the building of a mosque (place of worship). My friend its about being a good human being, Guru Tegh Bhahdur Ji stood up for and gave his head for the right for hindu pandits, how are hindus in India treating Sikhs? Also if theres no muslims in the area why are they intending to build a big mosque? So either there are muslims in the area or there building a big mosque which no one will go to because they must have a bit of spare cash lying around? Also theres loads of Indian muslims, just visit leicester. I think population wise worldwide india is like second or third for number of muslims. Also if its mainly sikhs inthe area and she dont look out for them when she aint a good poitician and wont win. no politician really cares for their constituents just their votes.
