There r meditation centers for interfaith ppl. Search for those...go on a retreat. The best solution guruji gave us was sangat. Congregation. So u go and get rejevenated by the presence of true seekers and u are inspired for a while. Then world intrudes then u beg for sangat again.thats why in ardaas( standing up prayer) we ask to meet those who never forget the naam. So yeah, sikh retreats, sikhi camps are a big thing in the west. If u are in the UK, there is BOSS, there is khalsa camp. They have websites, look them up. In canada, there is khalsa camps too. In California, west coast sikhi camp, virsa retreat. In new york there is chardi kala camp. Yes, these are short term camps, for a week or so. But very inspirational and uplifting. Also the best retreat is to come talk to the guru. Come tell all your problems to guruji then take a hukamnama. Also Amrit Vela which is meditation in the early hours and we are supposed to remember waheguru throughout the day. If we forget and get angry at someone or sad over something someone said, then we thank god when we remember god again and chide ourselves for thinking this world is real enough to matter. Thank god and be grateful that u could spend even a few minutes in his remembrance. Also very inspiring sangat includes rainsbais ( all night long kirtan) rainsbais happen once a month all over the world. Also Sunday diwaans, also sikh youtube channels like basics of sikhi ( maybe u could join their parcharik school. They teach u about sikhi so that u could be a preacher) also meditation camps, or planned prayers like 40 day simran jaap. There r no convents as far as i know, so best thing is to inspire yourself regularly so u dont feel too down.

True, a diverse economy is important. But i think juts are trying to go away from farming. Alot are selling zameens to go to foreign countries, or selling them to corporations. And a lot of youth have degrees. But i guess this is far as they are willing to go. If after they get their degree n cant find a job, they fall back on farming. And since many have small plots now, they do agressive farming. Planting rice and wheat. When traditionally, only 1 main crop was planted like wheat was only planted then for 6 months field was empty or they would grow saag (mustard greens grow in the winter even with frost...u should try it) for a month or so or sabzis. Now they use crazy amounts of fertilizers, pesticides, and water....I think u r right that they are unwilling to change tho. Cuz when we attempted to explain to our cousins ( the growth hormone ones) the dangers of it, they would agree and be like oh yes thats why a lot of ppl are getting diseases like cancer and stuff. So they know the dangers and have even seen the consequences, but wont change. When asked why they do it, they reply oh everyone does it and we cant be competitive and earn enuf if we dont. In panjab schools, the kids r also taught about crop rotatin and fertility of the soil, and stuff but they just dont listen. They think this stuff is for an idealistic world, but not them. Thats why a lot of panjabis dont follow Sikhi injunctions to not take dowry, to not cheat, to not follow fake babe, to not drink, to not follow caste...they think its all idealisic junk for some simple minded, religious folks and just doesnt apply to the real world or their society...So yes, i'm starting to see why u hate this type of thinking. You label this pendu tho, i would label it greeďy thinking or risk aversive thinking or shirking responsibility. Cuz ppl in cities do it too, for example throwing garbage on streets, building risky structures, polluting rivers and soil without care...i think u r referring to it as pendu thinking cuz its present in almost all 3rd world countries. Where ppl care about getting ahead and not about their country or countrymen or even laws....

Are u jatt? Cuz if u r, it would be the 1st jatt ive seen that acknowledges real problems and accepts responsibility. But being pendu is the greatest thing and isnt like being a peasant. Well it wasnt after peasants in punjab were allowed to become landowners under banda singh bahadur. You will always have an ancestoral home. Even if unemployment were to rise to 90% in panjab, ppl would be ok. (Currently its 80% unemployment in india...accordin to my dad anyway).ppl wont suffer like 1930s american depression where ppl used to go dressed in tie n suits and beg for a job even asking to clean toilets...And if near apocalypse happens, farmers have best advantage and can also do langar. You dont think ppl stick to being farmers out of loyalty or pride, do u? Its the easiest profession in terms of risk taking, u dont have to come up with any new business product. Also there r many malls, auto shops, hotels being built in panjab now where ppl willingly selling land to build these things. Ludhiana city is mostly industrialized. But i think industrialization hurts us more in terms of climate change..in ludhiana they used to get black rain. Farming has bad effects cuz bad practices are being used for greed. My relatives use growth hormones shamelessly. My cousin was telling us how they give teeke/shots to kadhus/squash n they grow big in no time. They eat and sell these. So panjab is being ruined by greedy industrialists n farmers. Who care for profit not safety.... I think pendu is not insulting, we in California pride ourselves in being pendu. But FOB is insulting. Its used to describe the newly arrived who try to be western to the max. Lots of makeup, expensive cars, cut hair, paadi maarni etc. They think getting away from sikhi and culture and a humble background is sophisticated and modern....when the modern world is changing: becomin vegan, caring about environment and animals, appreciating handmade, cultural things, going organic....

We need to lay off calling ppl traitors n agents cuz they dont conform to our views. Tbh, i had doubts about the sarbat khalsa. It was by akali dal, first of all. I know its was by SAD maan which is different than Badal. But thats worse, cuz wat if this party uses the beadbi to gain political advantage?? Of course, now my doubts are at rest, the resolutions passed were suberb. BUT at that time there was so much controversy, some ppl saying it cant be sarbat khalsa cuz it aint at akal takhat as well as a political figure heading this. So if i was a high profile Baba, i wouldve stayed away. ALSO Sarbat khalsa took all the momentum away from the panjab bandh protests, now nobody is focusing on beadbi...

please dont malign the biharis. Nihal is supposed to be sri lankan/tamil. Also we should stop insulting a whole ethnicity( cuz bihar is not a nation, but a state like panjab and we think panjabi is our ethnicity, right?) If we want ppl other than panjabis to convert to sikhi, we have to stop uttering these negative stereotypes. Especially as basics of sikhi and othrrs want to parchaar to ppl outside of panjab and to so called low castes. Back in the day there were no distinctions. Sikhs were complete. Masters of shaster vidya, Knowledge, Gurbani Aarth, Respect to Gurusaroops and Gurudhaams, and Rehitvaan. So that means one sikh was a nihang, akali,taksali,nanaksari, and tapobani. Just look at baba deep singh ji, he was head of either buddha dal or taruna dal ( i forget sorry) which makes him a nihang, he was involved in politics which makes him an akali (jk), he taught gurbani santhiya, wrote lareedar saroops plus ate in sarabloh bate so he is tapobani...maybe thats our problem, we are not complete, but divided like hindus of old, this jatha in charge of learning and paath and priests like brahmins, this jatha in charge of warriors, then the normal sikhs are vaish in charge of earning money to support these jathas.....

Some ppl not supporting sarbat khalsa cuz simranjeet singh maan is leading it. So it just seems like a fight between SAD badal vs SAD maan. Also if they elect new jathedaar, wat power will they have? Also there might be more confusion in panth with two sets of jaathedaars. So i hope no political positions are appointed by SK. Only issues sikhs need to focus on. Also badal was elected by the ppl. So should be changed by voting, maybe SK can pass a resolution saying Badal has been found guilty of these antipanthic, antisociety, corrupt acts, so no sikh should vote for badal but instead vote for----. Its important to list an alternative especially an alternative thats not Maan. Most important issue should be how to Stop Attacks on saroops kf SGGS. Protests and panjab bandh has not stopped incidents of beadbi. Wat has stopped beadbi is guards and pehredaar and vigilance and granthi singhs residing near sggs. So SK should pass a resolutikn that all pinds should appoint guards 24/7. And granthi sahib must reside nearby. AND shame the sgpc to pass a budget to get CCTV cameras installed in all gurudware ASAP!!! THAT is the only way to catch culprits. Also we can use cameras to see which pinds dont keep 24/7 pehra and fine the pind, or hold sarpanch accountable or take away SGGS saroop. Also maybe get satkaar comittee of old to go around making sure. Getting together and making speeches is not going to get anything done. We need to implement practical solutions not just fight for power or regime changes. Sarbat khalsa has no jurisdiction over CM position which badal occipies but over SGPC. You are right. Dont be a slave, which means dont let all money power, financials, rest with your husband. You should try to go back to study abroad, but u cant go without ur husband if he will not pay for it. So 1st step is to earn money. So in india u already have credentials n license. So get a job. Maybe ur same job back. Earn lots of money. Then u have the means and power to go back to canada to study. Just say, after u have money, i am going for a few days/ few months only just to finish my studies. Then i will be back.also in canada n usa, it is possible to finish studies, even if u stopped in the middle. So dont give up hope. You can still study and finish when u get back.

Does anybody know which ang # were ripped this time. We should keep track for 2 reasons. One so we could figure out if this is done with multiple saroops or just the one stolen from bargari. If multiple saroops involved, we need to figure out where they are getting them and put a stop to it. If these ang page numbers are not being repeated, then its one saroop. And we should figure out where they plan to throw the next angs. There must be a pattern. If multiple saroops, are they being stolen a gurudwara local to place of beadbi? Then we need to amp up security. Many ppl including Sukha Singh UK has advocated to plz put up CCTV cameras in your local pind. Also call pind and get ppl to guard. If 1 saroop, lets figure out where next they will drop angs and how many more times is it possible (cuz that depends on how many angs left). Also remember, 1 saroop stolen, and many saroops attacked in gurudware(burned saroops saroop in tabya, and ripped angs on tabya).but i think gurudware incidents have stopped now cuz ppl have become more vigilant. So they using that 1 stolen saroop, i think again and again at different places. We need to find out what exactly is happening. So we know how to counter it. So can anyone provide evidence to support the Multiple Saroop vs 1 stolen saroop? Also we need to figure out who is behind this. Lets list motivations of diff ppl. It is definitely NOT the badals. That makes no sense. They are harmed by this, more than other group/faction.

After he converted to christianity. They moved to india and wanted to get into politics. But ppl were mad about his religion. So sonia and him became hindus. It says that bujhe(unlightened) dive(oil lamps) are a sign of tehndi kala(worsening state or pessimism) while lightened/jaagde dive are sign of chardi kala or optimism. Thats why first step is to build sarbat khalsa.California had a sarbat khalsa CA meeting and #4 mata was passed to create a sarbat khalsa organization. If we just start a organization then get ppl to join in, it will be failure. So we are trying to start a grassroots movement then when we have enough ppl we can be organization. So at nagarkirtans n gurudware we r trying to get ppl to donate n sign up for sarbat khalsa. We need their contact # so if kaum needs to mobilize we can quickly access a database n get everyone. We need donations so we can do parchaar in pends in india, build schools n hospitals to counteract christians n radhasoamis n MOST importantly to change politics in punjab. This will be done by sending ppl from West to stand up in elections in punjab and we will buy votes of the ppl of punjab by good works. Or we can choose good punjabis to run and have them follow our dictates. Then once we have win CM position we can choose jathedaar n change SGPC laws. Also we can get sgpc budget, imagine how much seva can be done with that budget! So we, sarbat khalsa has to become third party in punjab, without formally being a party. So we can only change punjab through politics n long term n through voting system. So everyone try to start a branch of sarbat khalsa in ur country or local area n try at least go to ur own pends n put CCtV cameras in gurudware to stop beadbi. Then u can start more parchaar or schools or support shaheed parivaars or poor sikhs or watever is needed and finally set up ur own candidate n try to win/buy votes. So lets get together, lets start doing things. Cuz im sure the sarbat khalsa meeting on November 10 is gonna accomplish nothing....so start ur own branches of sarbat khalsa then when there are alot more we can try to make global sarbat khalsa.

The first shabad about bandgi is by bhai gurdas ji. Vaar 6 pauri 13. The second shabad is raag maru, mahala 5. The first one begins 'Gurmukh paer sakarthe gurmukh maarag chal chalande.' The main line that is sung is 'Band Khalasi bandgi virle kei hukami bande.' I will try to post pictures but idk if possible.

As long as u are in a rational sensible state of mind you can do rehraas sahib. Just dont use a gutka sahib or any pothi as u are not 'sucha'. U can use ur phone if u dont know it memorized.
