  1. That is an easy question to answer. Generally speaking, Sikhs themselves are the biggest threat to Sikhi since a lot of them don't have the basic knowledge about Sikhi and tend to confuse Punjabi culture with Sikhi. Also keep in mind that groups like RSS are only threats to Sikhs in India. Muslims are only threat to Sikhs in Europe while Christian missionaries are only threat to Sikhs living in North America. Now the question is, what are Sikhs doing about these threats?
  2. Apostasy and the Future of Sikhism" by Ms. Alice Basarke Nice article. Ms. Alice Basarke is right on the money in her article. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Hey, I like Dixie Gurdwara. That is the only gurdwara I go to now. Maybe some indian writers might be reading this post right now and might claim that I am terrorist in their next article.
  4. What issue is more important for Canadian Sikh community? K2K or Khalistan?
  5. Word. I like to know what sikh females think about this issue. It is easy just to blame Punjabi guys because few of them didn't treat them good. But in the end, it is the indian/punjabi/sikh (whatever you want to call it) girls who are to blame because they're the ones doing these things. I doubt a Punjabi guy put a gun to their head and threaten them to act in a certain way. Why should we Punjabi guys take the heat for something we didn't do? The blame really should go to Punjabi girls and their parents. Don't blame us Punjabi guys. I am sick of reading comments here about Punjabi guys being the reason why punjabi girls are messed up. That is totally false! Because how these girls behave and act these days, I am starting to see a lot of Punjabi guys (even including me) ditching Punjabi girls start dating non-punjabi girls. I wouldn't be surprise if half of the punjabi guys (or at least the ones I know) end up marrying non-punjabi girls.
  6. Who said Punjabis aren't the same? I know there are a lot of non-punjabi sikhs in this world. But how many of them are on this website? Not too many if you ask me. Please check this thread and read the responses (and quotes from Gurbani) there so that you can understand why I am not considered to be a sikh. 7. If you're talking about sikhs on this website, then yes, I do have an issue with them. But generally speaking, I am cool with most Punjabis (especially the monay ones).
  8. Shouldn't you be saying "Yes, We... What do you mean I should be saying "we"? This topic on Sikhs, not (monay) Punjabis such as myself.
  9. Yes, they're weak. That is why no one is replying to this thread because what you said in your post is very true.
  10. Good idea. Throw Udham Singh in as well. Damn, forget to mention Udham Singh in my last post.
  11. Wouldn't it make more sense to have picture of Che and Bhagat Singh on t-shirt? They both are much more similar to each other unlike Bhindranwale.
  12. Please don't mind me saying this... when i read such type of statements.. i feel like getting advice from non-sikh person. What are you trying to say here?
  13. What are sikh leaders in Punjab doing to solve these issues? Oh that's right, nothing! You want your religion to live on, then get rid of your leaders ASAP.
  14. He fought for Canada in the Olympics. I hope he goes pro some day.
  15. Pardeep Singh doesn't fight anymore. He try to make it to Canadian boxing team for Olympics, but he didn't make it though.
  16. No offence, you can pretty much say that to all Sikhs in general. I doubt there is one Sikh in this world that follows Sikh perfectly. Now, I am not saying it is okay monay can be pardhans. All I am saying is that no one is perfect. Now a mona can be a good sikh "inside", but it still would be wrong for them to be pardans because they're not good sikhs outside. The same can be said about amrtidhari/keshdahri sikhs as well. They follow outer part of sikhi, but not all them follow inter part of Sikhi at all. So can these people be pardans too? IMO, no. Only sikhs who follow inter and outer part of Sikhi should be pardans. But only problem with that is it is hard to find those kinds of sikhs. Let's face it, we don't have too many of them in the world. I never said anyone was perfect. How can you be a good sikh inside when your not a good sikh outside? please explain. Before I answer your question, please define what being a good Sikh inside means? I think we might have different opinion when comes to being good Sikh inside.

  18. No, it is NOT okay. Only "gursikhs" should be pardhans.
