  4. Also teach in Nottingham on Saturdays... http://www.scys-online.org/site/shinkin.html
  5. Surely you need Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's photo somewhere. What is Vaisakhi without Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji? Plus with so many people likely to see this logo if it happens, it'll promote the unique Sikh identity/ appearance... Whats everyones else opinion on this?
  6. Just glanced through the science section and looks good :TH: You may want to stress how long ago this was written, way before the western world figured this stuff out. One thing though please, could you not say pages when referring to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji but say ang instead... & Never heard this story before...
  7. I agree... That simran track is amazing! Anyway, same track is also here http://www.scys-online.org/site/downloads-cat7.html named Malaysian Simran - Bibiya It was distributed on the BOSS Sikhi Camp 2005 CD so you may want to contact them and see if any of them know. There website is http://www.boss-uk.org. Hopefuly, that might help you trying to find out who its by.
  8. I think some of these quotes reply to your original post... You said... Infact... Anyway, it makes it clear in Sikhism how one can attain salvation... your post just talks of Jesus Christ and suggests meditating on Gods name and following it wont help. Can i then ask, how do you think one can reach salvation?
  9. Great work setting this up... Will be brilliant to see it happen. I'll start on a design too. Cant wait to see some more of the others...
  10. It gives you the option of sending a message to my Local MP (1 listed) or my Local MEP (5 listed). Should i send this message urging them to sign the EDM 1394 to all of them?
  11. Would terrorists/extremists get together to hold a peaceful candle light vigil?!? Good thing though is that it got India's attention... :TH:
  12. This is just my opinion. You should find out different stuff but sometimes we get a bit too stuck into it... Only with bhagte will such answers to your questions come
  13. I think you need to write more about the turban. Most of that explains the 5K's... This may help you... http://www.scys-online.org/site/turban.html
  14. VJKK VJKF, A candlelight vigil was held today in Nottingham as part of the Worldwide Protest. There were a good turnout, quite a few people asking what was happening and with maharaj's kirpa it didnt rain. :TH: Photos are up and anyone wants to see them, they can be seen at the Sikh Community & Youth Service (SCYS) Website
  15. VJKK VJKF, Just to point out that the original post says 96 Crore Khalsa. Surely Khalsa is the pure which doesnt necessarily mean Sikhs. Maybe i'm wrong..
  16. This Shabad is by Guru Arjan Dev Ji in Raag Bhairao on Pannaa 1136
  17. Thanks for that link... that pocket SikhiToTheMax Gurbani Search looks awesome and I also put JapJi Sahib and Rehraas onto the pocket PC in Gurmukhi as well thanks to Sikhnet
  18. This picture sums it up...
  19. Well, i've been playing around with the Mio 168 I got and I can't really complain. Its smaller and lighter then I thought it would be and feels proper solid. Day I got it played about with it, installing games/software from PC onto it, about 5 hours of everyone in the house messing about with it, battery was still on about 60% full! I knew 64Mb was not going to be enough so I also ordered the Viking 512Mb SD card from ebuyer for £19 and a few pence with free delivery. Bargain as local PC World's cheapest 512Mb SD card is close to £50! Got hold of TomTom Navigator 5 and set it up, only uses about 160-ish Mb of space. Easy to use and managed to get over half the bars on coverage whilst sitting at home so GPS receiver is pretty impressive too! Yet to try it on the roads though. Overall, better than I expected for the money. One other thing though. SikhiToTheMax's website has had a link for ages saying get this on your PDA but goes to the construction page. Is there any sort of software like this for a Pocket PC

  21. All depends on what you want it for, that Dell was has good specs for good price but no GPS receiver. I just ordered the MITAC MIO 168 for £200 with built in GPS. Thats the only reason i got it, so i can use it as Sat Nav System. It being a PDA to me is just a bonus. Intel® Xscale 300 MHz, Windows Mobile™ software, 240 x 320, 65K colors, 32MB Flash ROM, 64MB SDRAM, SD/MMC slot etc... Should be getting it on Tuesday so will let you know what its like...
  22. It was amazing... :TH: I can honestly say I didn't want it to end. It went so quick, just gotta wait till next years now.

  24. The general reason for petition seems ok. BUT I would have thought the first few people to sign would be your close friends and maybe your group UBA. Which sounds racist... Anyone could sign it as BritishSikh. Even if it is a Sikh, then his values are wrong and not supported within Sikhism.
  25. Seems a bit far out and random. You for real? Anyway, sikhi comes first  so the identity's going nowhere...
