  1. Ever since SGPC took over Delhi Committee recently....Sarna-favouring media and people have been going full-force against SGPC (as always). It's all politics...
  2. ^ Very good! ^ Very good point! There were only 5 males there? Yeah right...there were hundreds of people there at minimum, including women. But it was 5 men who came forward to greet the sword with their head. I understand what you are trying to say though, nice observation! ^ I don't know where these Amrit Sanchars are happening....(but I know what you are talking about..such as reading the Bani from Gutka Sahib instead of from heart, only reading short version of Anand Sahib, etc)....but it is up to the Amrit seeker to also be somewhat-aware of the Jeevan of the Panj Piaarey or at least trust the selection process that Guru Sangat has put in place. AKJ has very high level standards and process of Amrit Sanchar...so let's not make blanket statements taking people's faith in Panj Piaarey away. AKJ selection of Panj Piaarey is very inspirational and amazing. And if you are having trouble with Kaam, then read Charitropakhiaan :smile2: ..... You guys keep on saying Dad this...Dad that.... well....first at least read what Dad wrote... Oh yeah, I forgot, some of you can't even believe/accept that Dad wrote that stuff for you to learn from..... Hypocritical? On one hand you are begging for advice and the advice is there for you in front of your eyes....on the other hand you completely reject it. Nice....
  3. Don't pull out the emotional-manipulation card. "Cutting of pubic hair when woman gives birth to a child".....have you ever even done research on this topic or even talked to a doctor about this? Read the following links and you will see the answer for yourself. http://forum.baby-gaga.com/about307483.html http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071012132024AA5iBuf http://myobsaidwhat.com/2012/07/13/its-nice-that-you-keep-it-cleaned-up-down-here/ http://community.babycenter.com/post/a12010785/pubic_hair_during_delivery http://community.babycenter.com/post/a11988045/interesting_question_-_possibly_tmi

  5. For those who are unaware or just don't care, I want to put things into perspective so that they know more to the story. Darshan/Missionary/Sarna go against Dasam Granth and Naam Simran in Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall. For example, they stop Bhai Balbir Singh Jee and other Parcharaks from Dasam Granth Keertan/Katha. Also, AKJ holds Keertan multiple times per year in Delhi for as long as I can remember. In this, there is Amrit Sanchar, Raensbhai Keertans, other Keertan programs, major amount of Naam Abhiaas. Yet, AKJ always is made fun of for their Naam Abhiaas. People make fun of Bhai Kulwant Singh Jee Kaki Pind who regularly participates in Panj Piaarey Seva. They make fun of Bhai Manpreet Singh Jee who does major Parchaar, etc....videos are all over internet. Yet, lots of these videos are from Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall Raensbhai Keertans. ^So on one side you have Guru Piaarey being made fun of and intimidated by Darshan/Missionary/Sarna. Yet read these following articles...look at the pictures..and watch the videos. You will see the true colours of Darshan/Missionary/Sarna. They will criticize people like Bhai Pinderpal Singh Jee, Giani Sant Singh Maskeen Jee, SGPC, Akal Takhat Sahib, etc... yet when these types of things happen, they remain silent and NEVER criticize Sarna or Delhi committee. Why's that? Hmmmm..... http://www.panthic.org/articles/5215 http://sikhsangat.org/2012/parmjit-sarna-looting-delhi-sikh-community/ http://mistakesingh.blogspot.ca/2008_04_01_archive.html http://panthdardi.wordpress.com/2009/08/05/lakhi-shah-vanjara-hall-at-gurdwara-rakab-ganj-sahib-used-for-jaiswal-community-meet-under-sarna%E2%80%99s-supervision/
  6. VEER JEE!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS JUST ABOUT TO POST THIS EXACT VIDEO AND TOPIC!!!!!!! VAHIGURUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! BADAL OVER RSS AGENTS SARNA/DARSHAN/MISSIONARY ANY DAYYYYYY ALLL DAYYYYYY. No one can ever deny that SGPC has always been better than Sarna-Run Delhi committee. I've said it from the beginning. Sarna is the only reason missionaries are so popular and Dasam Granth elements gained ground. I've been watching programs and Katha from Delhi Gurdwaras for the past few weeks, and there is a big change. More SGPC Panthic Ragis and Panthic Parcharaks doing Keertan and Katha. Also much more promotion of Naam Abhiaas in Katha as well. It is definitely a victory in my eyes, no matter how bad Badal himself may be. Watch the following video from last year to learn more about what happend during the incident...and also enjoy the amazing Keertan :smile2:
  7. ^Nice post! Sikhism today isn't the same as it was even 50 years ago. Don't get me wrong, the real version of Sikhism is still alive and well..but it only exists in a certain few who are a minority as far as numbers are concerned. People who are "Punjabi", think they are automatically Sikhs from birth. One isn't anything at birth. It's the life you lead after birth that shows what you are and aren't. People often state that Rehit and Maryada aren't important because it's not in Guru Granth Sahib Jee. Well, people saying that should look at Guru Gobind Singh Jee's Hukams and Rehits.....the person who gave Guruship to Guru Granth Sahib Jee. If you're going to follow Guru Granth Sahib Jee....you also have to follow Guru Gobind Singh Jee's life and Bachans equally. The "Punjabi community" which self-declares itself as Sikhs..well let's just say it's all hypocritical. Read my posts in this following topic for more information: http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/70777-sikh-wedding-crashers-advertised-on-radio-11032013/
  8. Yes, yes and yes :smile2: By converting, you mean getting baptized/taking Amrit?
  9. It's not only at Darbar Sahib, it's all around the world, 24/7 :smile2: That's the way it's spelled in (almost) all Saroops of Guru Granth Sahib Jee. http://flickriver.com/photos/25112517@N08/3619236765/ ^ Apologies for not posting a picture that's laridaar/larivaar and also manglacharan/mool mantar is out of place, which is sadly commonly seen these days. But that still doesn't change the point about Mahal 5. It's written like that in almost every Saroop (as seen above). http://www.flickr.com/photos/daasandaas/5071750714/in/pool-gurbaani ^ This is a correct example, with manglacharan in correct place and laridaar/larivaar. However, sadly still most ragis and parcharaks sing manglacharan after saying "Basant Kee Vaar Mahal 5". But sticking to the topic, it's Guru Sahib's Hukam, so that's how we pronounce it :smile2: , Basant Kee Vaar Mahal 5. Sounds just about right to me! :smile2: It is very clear from the spelling of the word that, that is how it is pronounced and that there is no way it can be pronounced Mahala. The spelling of the word and the grammar used explains it all.

  11. Just hire security during hours when there is less Sangat. It's only 1-4 extra employees max. Let's stop being kanjoos in areas where there is a real need. If millions can be spent at Gurdwaras, then there should be no problem for hiring a little bit of security personnel.
  12. I think this topic is over-exaggerated. I don't see anyone bowing down by touching their foreheads the to floor. It's probably more like they fold their hands together, bow their head and bend forwards a little bit. There's a difference between the two. Also, singhmankaran Jee said that he has seen many videos. Please show us those videos too. So now people want to point their feet towards Guru Sahib and not have anyone do/say anything about it? Remember....it is Guru Sahib's Darbar...not ours. Guru Sahib is king, not us. Guru Sahib's soldiers and housekeepers are just doing their job to maintain respect of Guru Sahib in Guru Sahib's House. With Bhau comes Bhao. They are both connected. If you don't have Bhau in relation to Guru Sahib...then you won't have true Bhao in relation to Guru Sahib either.
  13. There's nothing superstitious. They just got love in their hearts for Guru Sahib. It's all love. Love makes people do a lot of things. Why be so picky on small little things? There are bigger issues out there than this. What if I told you that people have had Darshan of Guru Gobind Singh Jee on his horse with his shastars and hawk/falcon. Then what? Are you going to call them crazy or pass some sort of judgement about them automatically? Jin Prem Keeo, TIN HEE Prabh Paayo.
  14. The mixed marriage people are hypocrites, sure. But isn't the Punjabi community not the same? How are they any better? Just because they speak/read a little Punjabi here and there? They have brown skin colour? The Punjabi community people do just as much drugs/intoxicants/meat/gandh as anyone else.....just because they come to the Gurdwara twice a year and consider themselves Sikhs, doesn't make them one. They can bow down to Guru Granth Sahib Jee a million times...and it still doesn't mean anything if their heart and mind aren't TRULY at the right place. Fake is fake...no matter the language..no matter the skin colour..or anything else for that matter. It's not two separate issues. It's one issue. The mixed marriages only started to take place due to the Punjabi community implementing it's fake Sikhi. Do you think that if most 'Punjabi' people were Saabat Soorat Rehitvaan Sikhs, that these issues would even be here? I don't think so.
  15. Please read my post above for some ideas. Few people are willing to point out the hypocrisy of stopping people from other faiths, yet not stopping "Punjabis", just because they speak the same language and come from the same culture. Who has the guts to stand up and make that point? Read my post above.
  16. In that letter, there is lots of focus on the supreme authority and Sikh perspective as Guru Granth Sahib Jee. There is still the other half of the equation, Guru Panth. Guru Panth has just as much say in it. The Rehitnamas, Hukamnamas, Akal Takhat Sahib, historical documents, life/words of Sikh Saints, etc. Let's not forget that. Those play a vital role, especially in clearing up this issue.
  17. Gurdeep Singh Johal Veer Jee, thanks for the information! I posted the video so that people on this website could see for themselves what is written in these texts and what their followers are promoting/spreading. Even though we may not like what is written/promoted, we can still keep our eyes open and try and find something within these texts that might be related to Sikhi or open up a historical part of Sikhi. For example, many people deny that Guru Nanak Dev Sahib Jee met Bhagat Kabir Jee, and many people insist that they have met. So, these texts could be useful to maybe clear up those historical doubts. Obviously, there can't be too much trust put in these texts, as there is probably a lot of stuff added by other people...but it doesn't hurt to just read/explore it. That's why I wrote in my first post in this topic:

Giani Gurdev Singh Jee Bhai Amolak Singh Jee They're not your age, but they're definitely inspirational. _____________________ Also, how do you know that they all have no rehit and that they're all just for show? You acted along with them. How do you know they weren't acting along with someone else, just like you did? Maybe they were upset in their hearts as well. Look, from the looks of it, you don't have to live your life with a sad-looking face all the time. It's a CAMP. There are going to be extra-curriculars going on. There are going to be people smiling and laughing and having fun and joking around. That's life. It's a camp. Nanak Bhagta Sada VIGAAS!!!!! Did it really hurt your heart to smile or laugh? Please be more precise with what you did not like. Please write with more detail and give us more details. From this following advertisement video, things seem fine. Or they just put together a really good video, and it's not really that great/inspiring as you are saying? Also, if they are not at your level, why not lift them up instead of putting them down and leaving them behind. Then you will have lots of companions :smile2:
  19. One thing I would like to add is that people don't realize how ritualistic and karam kandi it is to have a mixed faith "Anand Karaj" in Guru Granth Sahib Jee's Presence. It's fake, it's all just a show. Why would someone bow down to Guru Granth Sahib Jee, when they don't even believe in Guru Sahib, they don't follow Guru Sahib and they don't have anything to do with Guru Sahib. They're not at the Gurdwara to seek Blessings from Guru Sahib, they're just there to fulfill a formality. They're there to please their spouse's side of the family. There is no "Anand". It's just a "karaj", and a karam kandi one at that. One thing we must not forget is that, how far can this kind of thinking go? 75%+ people who call themselves Sikhs, don't even follow the basic principles of Sikhism. Yet, just because they are "Punjabi", they get "Anand Karajs" done all the time without any complaints. Why is there a double standard where we are okay with these people getting married in Gurdwaras, yet people from other faiths can't? How far can we take this argument and how judgmental can we be and how judgmental do we have to be? Because I have seen people from mixed faiths having an "Anand Karaj", and the person from the other faith is very respectful, kind and considerate, and sometimes they actually do have genuine respect for Guru Sahib and Sikhi coming from their heart. Whereas on the other hand, I have seen people who are Punjabi but follow no Sikh principles (the typical come to Gurdwara twice a year ritualistically, etc), and they are very disrespectful and out of place during their time at the Gurdwara for "Anand Karaj". It's very hard to draw a line, because there is way too much gray area in this topic. It's NOT because Guru Sahib was unclear. Guru Sahib is very clear on everything. It's because Sikhism has been diluted by so-called Sikhs, and sadly it is the majority who don't even truly follow Sikhism. Very few (the minority), actually follow Sikhi as per Guru Sahib's Bachans and Hukamnamas. It's so fake when Punjabis who are clean-shaven let their beard grow for a week or two for the "Anand Karaj" (so that it looks nice with Pugree) and also let their hair grow for like a month so that they have more support with their Pugree. And a few hours after the "Anand Karaj", they shave and get a fresh haircut and go to the party and drink/eat meat/do drugs, etc. Also there is a new trend of not eating langar at the Gurdwara after "Anand Karaj". Instead, everyone goes to a restaurant or banquet hall and eat lunch there. I guess they're too sophisticated and high-up to be sitting in Guru's Pangat and eat Guru's Langar. On top of that, most Punjabi people insist on wearing Kalgis, even in Guru Granth Sahib Jee's Darbar they wear it until just before the "Anand Karaj" starts, then they take it off. Anand Karaj is not something to inflate someone's ego, it's to remove someone's ego. Punjabis just can't let go of their ego and modernism. If you want to see true Sikhism, true Gurmat principles...then look at the life of Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Jee. There was a story that goes something like this: After a Raensbhai Keertan Smagam, everyone was tired and heading back home. While traveling or when reaching home, right away they were informed that there was an "Anand Karaj" taking place in a few hours and that they were invited. Despite what they had been through (little sleep, little eating, lots of travel), they got so happy hearing the news of the Anand Karaj and left immediately. When they got there, they found out that the people getting married did not follow rehit and were not Amritdhari and did not want to take Amrit. Bhai Sahib and his companions refused to do Keertan and and refused to attend the "Anand Karaj" and left right away to go back home. (If someone has the full version of the story, please post it, I tried finding it, but couldn't). NOW THAT'S REAL GURMAT AND REAL LOVE FOR SIKHI.....GURU'S SIKHI.....NOT OUR OWN MADE UP VERSION. ^ (Spelling mistakes, I know, please forgive me. 20. It seems that Anurag Sagar is a volume of Kabir Sagar. It's interesting that the concept of Kaal might also be within these texts (similar to Dasam Granth). Which would further prove that the Dasam Granth Kaal concept is not something out of thin air, and that other spiritual persons have also been able to recognize and acknowledge this concept. However, I have not read any of it carefully enough, I just skimmed through a few things, so please don't take those thoughts seriously, they're just theories at the moment. There is lots of analysis to be done. Check these out: "Anurag Sagar: Guru Kabir's "Ocean of Love", is one of many sacred texts composed and used by the Dharamdasi Branch of Kabir Panth and Sant Mat -- the Sant Dharam Das line of Masters (Sant Satgurus). The Anurag Sagar is a volume of the "Kabir Sagar" Series ("Ocean of Kabir"), a collection of several Hindi-language volumes devoted to the teachings of Guru Kabir and Sant Dharam Das."
