I'm shocked at this. Sikhs from America and the Sikh coalition stood out for them against FIBA. Bunch of Sikh teenagers made videos to call out FIBA for their anti-religious gear policy and now these two Singhs decide to cut off their hair? I'm disgusted.

our history of martyrs have shown the path of truth and justice. We have so much pride in history (not self-pride) but in what our Gurus and Shaheeds did for us that if we Sikhs see our own leaving due to money tactics or comfort let them leave. Every year the Khalsa grows and grows and Kalyug gets deeper and deeper. Christianity is just a label now to be honest they have lost complete control. Muslims on the other hand don't challenge the status quo unlike Sikhs. Let alone Sikhs aren't afraid of dying for the truth. We have a whole path of shaheeds to show that.

Missionaries have one job and that is to convert using tactics food or money and say that turn your life for example Christ. Look at Christian missionaries around the world even in Punjab. They use dirty tactics like money to bribe people in their faith and even tell them keep the pagh and dhari and be a Christian. All missionaries use their own religion to comfort the needy but don't lead them to becoming one with the Divine since all religions beside Sikhi have a rough path on doing that. We are lucky to have the GGS but we should be more worried about quality than quantity as remember what Guru Gobind Singh said 1 Sikh=125,000 not because of physical strength but because because of our faith in the True Guru SGGS.

Everyone knows the situation due to upbringing of the girl in their childhood and teenage years. If their family is not into Sikhi as if the father is a mona of course there going to shun sardars. Same situation here in America or Canada where Sikhs are scattered throughout places and Singhs and Kaurs may be the only Sikhs at their school and on top of that they WILL BE influenced by those around them how they interact, what they do, and pay attention too. So in this modern culture, I seen most Sikhs girls techinally being brainwashed by social media/imagery/people but I have definitely seen enough to know that they think according to public's opinions due to societal values. Therefore I can say there are Sikh girls who are keshdharis who are into Singhs who keep their dastaar, but the number is scarce. It is getting to a point where even in our homeland they are following the traits of America and Canada and UK. That's why I really think its important to have a strong connection with sangat of your gurdwara around your age and keep tab on each other because as of right now I see there will be more Singhs cutting their hair in the future only for the sole purpose of impressing a woman which is a lame excuse but in today's society where most of our women especially teenagers are wasting in social media and following bad societal values it is hard to not be upset. Sikh girls are asking for it when they post hideous stuff on social media affecting their mindset towards different things and not focusing on whats important in life.

We Sikhs need our own kind of law not SHARIA LAW but law that restricts too much freedom but doesn't oppress your rights.

Your entire life will be evaluated not just your last thoughts. When you die you should be thinking about rejoining with the One not anything else because nothing comes with you after death (important note). There is no eternal hell concept in Sikhi but more like a temporary punishment place and then back into the rebirth cycle if you fail to merge with the One in this lifetime. Sikhs don't believe if your not Sikh you burn in eternal fire or such thing just making that clear. Those examples that singhbj weren't very specific enough. The basic concept though is that you harvest what you plant in this world so your actions/deeds and naam (doing spiritual devotion to Vaheguru) all go with you after this world. For SIkhs we want to purify our mind and conquer the 5 vices and achieve salvation during our lifetime. That is really are goal and we try to do that by good actions and practicing naam. Sikhs do believe others of different religions can be rewarded afterlife but to us Sikhi is easiest way to merge with Vaheguru with the GGS given to us already.

LOL no Sikhs can do anything aboard India that can make an impact on Akal Takht. Sikhs outside of India can though make a showcase against Akal Takht for its long time corruption and not doing Sikhi interests. The thing is how... As much as we want to make a change it is hard when we are not even in Punjab. All we can hope is Sikhs in Punjab wake up before things get out of hand.

Adults in Punjab need a "physical guru" with supposedly supernatural powers to fix all their life problems when they don't recognize GGS as how valuable it is for us as Sikhs..... Many elders are illiterate and end up trying to find a dera that suits them the best and with the youth issues in Punjab it can only get worse. I hope those kind of idiotic punjabis don't try to come to the West with that mentality or else it will spread like a disease....... Another video on facebook on Amritdhari Singhs picking on a Singh smoking tobacco. I feel that they did a right thing since the Sikh teenager had a dastaar and was giving a bad name for Sikhs smoking in public. The Singhs taunted him with cuss words and put him in a headlock for a couple of seconds for absolutely no reason. They have the right to be upset but should deal with the situation in a nice way. Singhs need to stop recording also too I don't know what they are trying to do by recording of them cussing is ruining the image of Khalsa might as well do it in cover. Exactly why don't they go against the Punjab police brutality over the civilians. Punjab police is not doing its job whatsoever it basically is a police state since the 90's. Police can't even bust big drug dealers and are becoming drug addicts themselves. They are the ones filling up the anti-drug rehabs in Punjab. Its choas over there.
