  1. Firstly, collect all the Sikh Granths and store them outside of India in a safe place for posterity! Secondly, make your children aware of this and why this had to be done. Tell them to inform their children about this too. We will have to teach them the importance of this action and why it is imperative that this is passed on to the future generations! Teach yourselves and your children to recite Bani from memory but we will have to memorize it by rote first. We will need copies of our scriptures for reference, so, we will have to have them in our homes making sure we treat them with sanctity and propriety. We have to be strict with ourselves before we can expect the same from our children and the future generations that follow. It is time to save our religion and every single thing that is connected with it. It is not the time or times to be heedless or inattentive anymore. Treasure and cherish our Faith now our children and their coming generations will thank us forever for doing this! May SACHEY PATSHAH HELP AND GUIDE US IN OUR EFFORTS!
  2. https://www.facebook.com/SIKHCHANNELDELHIUNIT/?fref=nf This is completely ridiculous! A school teacher denying an Amritdhari shcool girl to wear her kirpan. If you watch this video you will also notice that the teacher has also denied the sacrifice made by our 9th Guru Ji at the Sees Ganj Gurdwara. I think this is what I heard, at least!
  3. Wow!!!! I never knew this, that's really great!! Chalo, it is nice to know that there are some children that are of higher avastas than their mums and dads at least, in our quam!
  4. I have never come across anyone with high avasta ever, either in the gurdwaras or anywhere in the classrooms!! My ajority are not even vocal enough! Plenty of oont pataang gallan karan waley ne!
  5. If parents hate sikhi so much how can you expect their children to love it? Nowadays, everyone has become too materialistic so they have little time to meditate or read the Bani. It is all competition these days.
  6. People were more innocent in those centuries and less materialistic. They had pure hearts so it was easy to have faith in god. As they became more materialist and engrossed in materialism they started questiong the existence of god which weakened their faith in god. People were not ignorant as you say but they were very innocent. Their hearts were pure and they were able to grasp the concept of faith and god very quickly. They were very lucky and blessed. Material progress has been the cause of lack of spirituality and faith in god. God exists and there is no doubt about it. To relaize god one has to look inwards rather than outwards. Instead, we are always looking outwards for inner happiness, we depend too much on outer objects to satisfy our need for happiness and joy. The more we own the more we wish to own in terms of matrial objects. We judge our happiness based upon how much wealth or material objects we own. While we are assessing and analyzing how much we have or have not we lose our faith in god and become atheists. We think we are the doers and our egos become inflated and then there is no going back to search for the lost treasure that god sent with us.
  7. Most people just like studying different things such as philanthropy or anthropology instead of politics.
  8. Try replacing it with mint or camomile tea instead. This might hekp.
  9. Not very long ago someone complained about threats on line but nothing got done.
  10. https://www.quora.com/How-many-Sikh-women-have-been-trained-in-the-specialized-martial-arts-of-gatka-Do-they-feel-safe-due-to-their-skills-or-have-their-skills-proved-useful Do sikh women train in the martial arts like men do?
  11. I sincerely hope no one got hurt. It looks quite scary the way this brainwashed crowd is confronting Jugraj Singh ji. He has got the same rights as the dawa person to preach about the sikh religion.
  12. I wonder how many of us know about this. I never studied India's history seriously, never knew this happened to our own people.
  13. Do you know what? I have started believing that though these people claim to be sikhs but I don't think they know what that means. So, they are reverting back to so many hindu customs and practices. It is sad and it doesn't have any intention of stopping either! I think it is getting worse.
  14. I get the gist, you are right, there are many caucasians that hate race mixing without a shadow of a doubt. I have heard it, I have seen it and also read about it. So, there is no denying that what you claim is true. Well, someone posted something earlier on about this and it was so true to what we are witnessing nowadays. It did imply this. One has to be comfortable in one's own skin, otherwise, what's the point? I think you are referring to a certain class of Europeans that will not allow this from taking place. They don't believe in race mixing because they consider it bad, I understand. But the ones asians or others are marrying don't come from that class, not at all. See there are three things to consider here, race, class and religion. So, I am not sure if they are even of the same religion. Anyway, thanks for posting your views even though it was a struggle to comprehend everything.
  15. I can understand why their parents are against all this. I don't think any parents would like to see their professional children end up with hard drinkers with children from different relationships! They will have to be complete bonkers to allow or accept this kind of behavior from their children! I don't blame the parents. After they have spent so much money on educating their children, what kind of life is it to end up with couple of heavy drinkers and kids from different people? This reminds me when I get married I will have to be careful :biggrin2: . I know. I doubt it very much if they did though. I think if a person is divorced there are no restrictions on remarrying after this in Sikh religion. I know in some cases where the children from first marriage never see their half brothers/sisters ever. I think this is very sad.
