  1. Guru Sahib said “Manas Ki Jaat Sabhe Ek Hai Pechanbyo” already, the Sikhs who would follow the word over the Guru aren’t exact ideal; however, they were in fact the majority in a lot of areas even without British influence. It was still rare for Sikhs back then to intermarry with other castes. But what the British did was they made a British style caste system where groups most loyal to the British were “high-caste”, and groups that weren’t loyal, “low-caste”. The Nihangs were the least loyal to the British and a good chunk of them were from “Mazbhai” backgrounds which made them low caste while the mainstream Punjabi sepoy was “Jatt” which made them high caste. In the past, Jatts knew their position in the Hindu caste system which is why they converted in mass with Banda Singh’s land grant.
  2. Some of these Fuddus that believe in caste are Amritdharis ?
  3. Even Punjabi Hindus don’t acknowledge Brahmin superiority though. ?
  4. But are Jatts really more castesist than other castes?
  5. The Youth is more casteist more than the previous generation
  6. Who do mainstream Nihangs consider as Buddha Dal Jathedar?
  7. Dog isn’t banned though
  8. <banned word filter activated> Damn, it is banned
  9. I don’t think he’s going to Pesh, as his branch of Nihangs, (as well as chelas), don’t recognize either the SGPC Jathedar nor the Sarbat Khalsa Jathedar, they believe Buddha Dal should have rule over Akal Takht.
  10. All of the Gurus pictures are not real, once Guru Sahib had a painter who could paint most of Guru Sahib on his canvas, but when Guru Sahib’s face came the Painter couldn’t even see the face. Guru Sahib then explained that he isn’t the body, but rather the spirit. Guru Sahib finished the painting though. I don’t think the Bhai Sobha Singh’s paintings are legit. Nanaksar is a bit closer, as Baba Nand Singh saw Guru Sahib.
  11. Sikhs shouldn’t have any pictures of the Gurus if we are going according to Gurmat. In fact, the Mughal records of Sikhs stated that at our Gurdwaras, there weren’t any pictures of the Gurus.
  12. We shouldn’t have a diet of heavy warriors if we are mostly working office jobs.
  13. We Sikhs will continue fighting each other over the small differences we have, and still learn nothing about our position in the world.
  14. I think it's important to understand that when we do have raj that we understand our context, mainly that none of us are even a hair compared to Guru Sahib, so he can understand the inner hearts, but we must judge the actions as they are done, rather than hypotheticals.
  15. I know wherever Babbar Khalsa would be in charge during the Kharku movement, they'd close down any pubs and other putte kam, and probably for most people that's a bit too dharmic. We should have a religious-centric focus but not go full blown theocracy mode.
  16. Comparing ourselves to Jews is just dumb, the only thing we share is low numbers, but they have multiple advantages theologically with the West, that we don’t have.
