Can anyone imagine their father, Guru Gobind Singh jee tieing up his beard ? No, so how can his kids do it? We are sons of a King, a Singh, we are Lions. I think the fad today is because of how society is. It might also be because due to work conditions which is understandable (ie.doctor). But a khula prakaash of dhaara is the way to go if you have nothing else stopping you except public opinion. If you have to do it because of work conditions i guess thats ok. Btw, has anyone seen Bhai Roop Singh jee's (UK) dhaara.... WOWWW !!! <_<

theres many ways u can split up ur essay .. i would do it in three parts .. hence three main points... naam being the support in 1) Current life (above bani by Papi), 2) Support for others (well being of your family lets say .. good example is in rehras saahb .. kahe re mun chitve udhum...), 3) Next life (many, many lines from bani on this) ... plus ur intro and conclusion and your set.. write your essay with reference to bani ... you can also use historical examples as well (Ie. Bhagat Prahlad) .. .. i think that shud work ... like i said you can go many ways !

Hmm there is something missing here... i was just listening to India News Radio and they stated that S.S. Mann did say this about bhagat singh but he also said real sikhi matyr is that of sant jarnail singh jee... who actually woke up a sleeping nation .. so i think he was more of comparing the two and showing a shaheed martyr in sant jee is as to all this happening in india rite now over sant jees picture up in amritsar..

There were in total 20 pyare sikhs that were blessed on the day with gurus amrit (number varified by one of the sevadaars of the amrit sanchaar) !! :lol:

There was a Waterloo Youth Raensbaayee that same night, and we had the chance to have sangat with most of the sangat that took amrit and as well as bhai saahib sukha singh jee !! know ur limits .... that is the key .. if u wana be up on those sites .. go ahead but know that your personal information is viewable by EVERYONE .. i know a lot of singhs on my list on facebook that use their 'profile' to promote only sikhi .. disabled their wall/pictures and use tabs like daily hukamnama, educational resources etx... to enlighten sikh youth .. every LITTLE bit counts.... a druggy ...smoker.... non-amritdhari .. person was once invited to a sikh event on facebook .... came out ... and the next thing you know has not touched a bottle/smoke for months and is now progressing towards sikhi ...... is this not a positive sign ?? but of course there are traps in these sites as well .... again... "know ur limits"!!
