  1. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Maybe you haven't noticed you are on a Sikhi forum. Does no sex till marriage ring a bell? It means you'd better be a virgin, lol. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh
  2. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! That is a sound driver problem (NOT WMP). You have to reinstall your sound driver. Usually, you can go to the website of your manufacturer, click on support--> Drivers, and select your computer model. If you reinstall your drivers, everything will work fine Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  3. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Having pictures are OK... but bowing to them is not, because there is a difference. When we bow to SGGSjee, we are ACTUALLY bowing to the guru. (because the words, gurbani, is right there). When you bow to a picture, you are bowing to a representation of a Guru, and that is idol worship. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!

    Hairloss

Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Hormones, or stress. I know in my 4th year of Uni, my head hair dropped by like 1/2 because of stress... soo all you can do is chill out... Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  5. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Check the processes that are running. If you go Control-Alt-Delete, and click on the "Processes" tab, there will be a list there. (at the bottom it will also have the total # of processes). Click on the memory tab once or twice, and the Highest memory ones will come to the top. See which programs close to the top you can get rid of, that will free up some RAM and speed up your computer. Also click the "CPU" tab once or twice, and the highest CPU users will come to the top. See which ones (ignore System Idle Process) come to the top, and see if any of those are expendable. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  6. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! I donno... I kinda like this pleasant blue. Just try to avoid something too striking, like super bright stuff. Makes my eyes hurt haha. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  7. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! no problemmo! Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  8. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! The easiest way to check is to right-click your start bar and click Task Manager (or punch Control-Alt-Delete). Then click on the Processes Tab. There should be a list of processes. If you click on the CPU column once or twice, it will show you all the processes in order o`how much CPU they are using. Look at the top ones, and that should tell you what programs are using up your CPU. Just ignore the "system idle process" one
  9. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! I suppose that means if you have cancer, you can't have chemotherapy or radiotherapy either. Because it causes hair to fall out. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  10. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! I keep bringing this up, but many of those "rehat" shabads were not written by our Gurus, and are not found in SGGS jee. The definition of a sikh is the one that was agreed upon by sikh scholars and is posted on the SGPC website. In essence, its anyone who accepts Guru Granth sahib jee as their Guru, and is ACTIVELY trying to follow the path that they have laid out. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  11. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! I think ideally they should be amrithdari. OR at LEAST Keshdari. But strangely enough, its the monai who do the most seva most of the times, and so they make up the majority of the committees. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  12. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! What on earth did that have to do with Michael Jackson?? Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  13. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Agreed. Guru called for "5 heads". Not "5 heads with male genitalia attached to em". Our Guru spent countless lines in Gurbani specifically stating that EVERY SINGH is EQUAL TO A SINGHEE. Why? Because NO ONE should be DISCRIMINATED based on their BIRTH. You can give parshaad to any 5 amritdharis... singhs or sighnees. That was our Guru's will (its written in Guru Granth Sahib, READ IT!). Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  14. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Fundamentalist is too harsh a term. When one follows something without knowing the reasons, and doesn't budge regardless of changing circumstances, that's a ritual. Singhs were chopped up, sawed in half, boiled, burned to save someone's life. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  15. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Make sure your antivirus and antispyware software is up to date. Most of the non-free ones expire after a short amount of time. I would recommend doing an online scan (always upto date). Goto http://safety.live.com and run their full scan. It should get rid of most of your problems. Also, use AdAware, I find its one of the best antispyware programs. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  16. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Jeez, militant singh and Sarpanch, you two really need to learn your sikhi. Amrith was originally given by touching the feet of the guru to water. That WAS amrit. Thousands of sikhs took that amrit that way during the Times of Guru Nanak until Guru Teg Bahadur. Guru Gobind Singh, to create the panth, had to create a way to give amrit that any amritdhari singh could administer... and thus the khandai batai da amrit was born. Hindus still administer amrit the old way, and take a look at that picture... drinking the water from the feet of GOD... isn't that Amrit??? Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  17. what if your grandfather has bone concer and he is stuffing and when he stops breathing you have to run to the temple and call your grandmother and tell her the new but you know first aid but you panic and you know that he doesnt want to stuffer anymore. what you say about that MY trip in india Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! I have no idea what you just said. Please spell correctly, use complete sentences, and a period here and there would help too. And like I said... if you are given a chance to save someone's life... you save it! Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  18. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! You already know the answer, so I don't see why you are posting. A sikh of the guru must only marry a sikh. Why? Because its just common sense that if your life revolves around sikhi, then the person you spend the rest of your life with must share those same goals. If religion has no value to you, or to her, then it doesn't matter who you marry. But if you are getting involved in AKJ and other programs, I would ask that you consider the consequences first. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  19. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! The final decision is up to you. Saving a life is a rare opportunity that you have been given, and its a medical procedure, so the medically necessary hair removal is OK in my opinion. You arn't cutting for fashion, for comfort, but to save a fellow human being's life. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  20. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! If Sikhi means anything to you, then marry a sikh. If Sikhi doesn't mean anything to you, you arn't a sikh, and then go marry whoever you want. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  21. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Namstang's right. Given the opportunity to save someone's life, you save it! That's what being a sikh is about!! Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  22. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! I think we should first see why we celebrate something NOW. Halloween was originally a pagan festival to ward off evil spirits. Now it's just an excuse to eat candy. I don't know much about Lohri. As far as I know, its much the same thing. It was originally a celebration of birth/fertility/radishes, but now it feels more like Halloween except with waay nastier candies. ...and IF it is no longer a sexist festival, THEN it is no longer anti-sikhi. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
  23. Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! For (1), reading gurbani does certainly help. BUT, its nowhere near as good as understanding the Gurbani, which is the whole point. I would recommend when you do some bani, like Japji Sahib, also read together an English translation so that you can try to understand the meaning of it. Good luck! Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!

    Rehras Sahib

Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Memorize it, or Ipod, or another MP3 player, or bring a gutka, or sneak into a quiet computer lab and do it from a PDF... Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!

    Good Or Bad

Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh! Good start... keep it up! ... and clicking refresh won't help anything. Google's system works by LINKS. The more people link to it, the higher it shows up on a google search Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa! Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!
