  1. The latter is an excellent site, though the search function is pretty useless. Thanks! - K. there should be a document on there you can download. you should be able to download it using the 2nd link. was u able o do this? its basically a pretty complete dictionary/vocab.
  2. Try downloading this. I myself have been trying to improve my punjabi. if you come across anything useful let me know. fateh. http://www.punjabiuniversity.ac.in/ http://www.advancedcentrepunjabi.org/vocab_Punjabi.rar
  3. i was just makin a point that soya protien encourages the production of estrogen in the body. i only reposted because in the first post the information suggested that there is no proof for this however there are studies that can be found thorough google that state it does. from ur second post it says in moderation it should be ok. this is true. excessive consumption of soya might cause excessive estrogen to be produced. but whether u consume or alot soya protien does encourage estrogen to be produced in the body. weightlifter and body builders should supplement this with other forms of protien.
  4. i personally dont see anything wrong with films telling the stories of the shaheeds. however i would agree that no one should try and imitate the gurus. however the stories of the shaheeds should be told. if you have a problem with someone tryin to imitate a shaheed then you shouldnt even tell stories about their jeevans in words because you would never be able to fully do it justice. he stories of our shaheeds should be told and i would encourage big budget films to be done.
  5. A recent research conference up in LA, a few major manufacturers from the natural foods industry were there making presentations. One of the major points they continually hit on is the expanding Soy Protein market, and the barriers to entry due to misinformation. A ton of studies that have been done that show absolutely no affect in testosterone or estrogen levels in males or females when using a Soy Protein Isolate. The studies were done against Whey Isolates, Soy, and a placebo, and the results that came back in terms of testosterone and estrogen levels were all exactly the same with no variations in any of the groups. They also discussed the apprehension in females considering Soy proteins due to potential carcinogens leading to breast cancer. There have been no studies that have shown any sort of conclusive results in humans whatsoever that link Soy protein to breast cancer; a few studies that were conducted in pharmaceutical laboratories with lab animals were the basis for these conclusions, but the amount of material introduced into the test subjects far exceeded the highest level of human consumption for the material. Soy protein is a cheaper, ecologically sound, and now a widely available dairy alternative, with an amino profile that is easily comparable to whey proteins. Only 5% of the current supply of Soy products is used for human consumption; the other 95% of the material is being used as animal feed. With the growing costs and demands for dairy products, Soy will become increasingly more and more popular and widely used. i hope that is true the information that you posted there. but i have my doubts. try reading up information from independant studies. and not research conducted by a soy protien foods manufacturer. independant research is far less likly to be bised as opposed to soy protien foods manufacturer who sells the product.
  6. i would say eat alot of soya especially for protien, but recently i found out that it promote estrogen production in the body, for weight trainin this isnt good..
  7. when i was in india last alot of the singhs there were sayin that big budget sikh films are needed. there alot of shows that come on indian tv in regards to hindu gods etc. little kids watch this wanting to be like them. sikh alternatives are needed.
  8. was gna leave a comment, but read it again and realised it was just arguementative, lol

wat college do u go to? maybe some 1 here is from the same area. they could help you if needed. im not sure if what your saying is that people are saying rascist remarks to you in some kind of malicious way or if they are just generally making comments that are wrong because they dont know any better or what it is to wear a dastar. if its the first 1 then obviously there just trouble makers that probally do need to get sorted out because this kind of thing can get worse. to be honest though i wouldnt suggest that you fight over name calling especially if your on your own against many unless your sure you can defend yourself or you feel that it has to be done. if its the second 1 then just explain to them how they are wrong, im sure when they know it will stop. just stay safe and pick the times to say tings wisely.
  11. does BSSF not have a pro khalistan view point? does it matter? yeh it does matter to me, thats why i asked. i wouldnt want help with any organisation that held anti khalistan views.
  12. egos and own agendas on every side. its always the same. instead of doing whats best for the panth by following gurmat we do whats best for ourselves. Personally i say give them a chance. they havent even done nothing yet and already were so quick to criticise.
  13. From what i know of them these are some of the areas they wll be looking into. 1. University issues 2. Networking - Get Sikh youth to network with Sikhs from around the country that they may have not met otherwise. 3. Work with other Organisations - Sikh youth Organisations - Panthic Organisations - Non-Sikh Organisations 4. Sikhi workshops - Start sikhi workshops in Gurdwara’s that don’t have any. - Encourage young children to attend. 5. Parchar Network - Contact Well-known Parcharik’s to attend our events. 6. Inter-Faith - Dialogue with Inter-faith organisation about youth issues especially Sikh youth. - Attend Inter-faith programmes. 7. National/International Events 8. Awareness of Kakkar’s in educational institutes - Hold programmes for Educational Institutes that are unaware or show ignorance towards Sikhs. - Support other organisations working with institutes. 9. Samagam’s 10. Help Overseas Sikh Students - Help Sikhs from other countries that have come to study in Britain. These are issues that need to be addressed. i personally dont see any thing wrong with a group a sikhs that are going to try and tackle some of the issues mentioned above. Personally i think more people need to make the attempt to do so.
  14. my experiences of singhs is that nowadays alot seem to be weirdos who lack social and personal skills. but then again there are some great singhs too.
  15. ur jus substituting one drug for another. and those drugs have messed up ur brain. i can tell by the rubbish ur coming out with. dont bother replying, cus im not trying to debate with you. im simply making a statement. u'l jus chat more rubbish anyway. get off the drugs. its messing ur brain up
  16. the ramgharia gurdwara in leeds pardhan. i remember going there with other singhs. there was a wedding party going on were they serve meat and alcohol. the pardhan and few of his comitee boys were actually in the main gurdwara building and they were all drunk. this is the tip of the iceberg. I remember when R4G campagn was doing there thing trying to stop this kind of thing from happening. but what happend? the same as usual. they got slated for trying to stop this kind of thing from happening and the campaign now is virtualy non existant. problem is sikhs who dont practise sikhi and dont really dont wish to practise either think they have a right to an opinion when it comes to sikh affairs.
  17. i cnt believe th comments that have been left to this post. u all a bunch of clowns. take ur gatras off and join the circus. you and people who think like u are the reason why sikhs are laughed at.
  18. probaly some sort of production fault. take it back to where you brought it from and ask them to exchange it. if you brought it from the boss stall im sure theyll exchange it. stall will be at baba thakur singh jis barsi.

  20. nah no one should be controlled from coming into punjab. its not wrong that bhaiyeh are lying to get into schools, they deserve education, the system is wrong if it saysthat only sikhs can be educated in schools. the problems not the bhaiyeh, the problem is that there is no parchar. none. pick any village in punjab and go to the gurdwara. theres no parchar done. if there was parchar being done every1 would be sikh. you cant hide from the truth infront of you. if there was real parchar done in punjab ordinary punjabis wud still be sikhs and it wudnt matter how many bhaiyeh came into punjab cus the majority would always be sikh. this should be a free world where every1 has opportunity to make a good life for themselves including the bhaiyeh. our parents who came from punjab wer in same positions as them in there time. the problem is with the lack of sikh parcahr and the fact that the govt doesnt allow it to be done. punjab is in a chokehold and sikhs are to busy filling there pockets to care.
  21. bruv go punjab and see for urself. id go as far as saying 90 percent of sikhs in punjab are moneh and 70 percent of the keshdharis are over 40. u still see many sikhs at harmandir sahib in the evening but thats no big deal. if i went to a gurdwara in scotland id see singhs there. in the homeland of the sikhs u should be able to go to every village and see many keshdharis. i cnt beleive how bad it is in punjab. go to the main cities, u hardly see any keshdharis about. and atleast the bhaiyeh come to punjab and work unlike the punjabis. go amritsar, alot of the bhaiyeh are keeping there kesh and adopting sikhi too. its the punjabis that are backwards.
  22. and what do you do? sit around making wisecracks? well i can see that working...... listen i aint tryin to point fingers, im just tellin u how i see it. cus teh only gud thing to every come to this world is going down the drain fast and it hurts to see it happening.
