  4. Why don't we look at what gurbani says regarding this type of sangat? We think that who knows, we may meet someone there who has same interests as us, who may go towards sikhi, etc. But how likely is that? Very unlikely. MOST ARE there for the party, you think you will see someone at a party, but with the intentions of doing naam japna? Impossible. Besides, getting someone into sikhi by first compromising your sikhi does not do you any good. As long as you are firm in your sikhi, Guru Sahib will himself do kirpa of getting others into Sikhi. Ok, leave aside my views. Lets looks at what Gurbani says: Kabeer saakat sang naa keejeeai, dooreh jaayeea bhaag, baasan karo parseeye, tao kach lagai dhaag|| This is a fact. When we are in the company of saakats, we most of the time unknowingly take on their habits. On the other hand, when we are in the company of gursikhs, we are blessed with their virtues. It is a totally different thing when we are at a party compared to say when we are at a school. When at a party, it is obvious what will take place there, all together bad sangat. Going to school is our duty. If at school we find someone who wants to know about sikhi, do we not do our part both ways?
  5. kds1980 I think you meant tapoban.org nehi? also dukh sukh..another one is akj.org

  7. Have you guys had enough of your laughs now? It disturbs me to see my brothers and sisters drop so low as to find JUST someway to have a 2-minute fun. If you had some real motives for this topic, it would not have turned into a thread where so many people reply in such an ugly manner. What exactly was the "purpose" of this thread? What have we achieved from posting on such a thread? When one person mocks someone, it seems that another thinks it ok to do the same exact thing, without even thinking, why am I doing this. My request: don't ruin the condition of sikh forums in this way. If you really have concern for things happening between Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh, then post seriously for once and tell us your motive and what you want to do about it. Otherwise, there is obviously no reason whatsoever in picking at individuals and wasting you precious time.
  8. Mitth bolra ji, har sajjan suamee mora... With our mouth we recite Gurbani, would it look nice if with this same mouth we swear and use bad language?
  9. If you are thinking of wearing them as kakaar, for a kirpan, then it is very unlikely that it will be sarbloh. Usually traditional ones are sarabloh. Most of the others ones from other cultures are of steel and stuff, most even look like just your sabji-cutting knives.
  10. Sant mat, use your sant mant if there is any. You are more worried about someone's wedding getting ruined than the beadbi of Guru Sahib's Sarroop. There are Singhs and Singhnia who don't even dare do Maharaj ji's parkash without first putting on clean clothes, and you are saying don't waste your precious time? If we can't take out time to protect our Isht, then our time isn't really precious is it??
