Meditating, meditating in rememberance on Him, I cherish Him forever|| Veer Curios man jee, I read and understood you post very well. 3. Haapy Birthday veer Balwinder Singh jee, May Waheguru jee bless you with more love and sewa for Sikhi. Btw, my older sis just turned 20 today, may Waheguru jee bless her with Sikhi di daat and khande batte da amrit. Please do ardaas for my bhainjee because I know sangat di ardaas hamesha parvaan hoondi aa. 4. Waheguru jee ka khalsa Waheguru jee ki fateh! Veer Kulbir Singh jee, thanks for sharing that, and veer/bhain ryu jee(sorry I am kinda new to this forum, don't know everyone's gender) :T: , but neways thanks for posting it up , it really uplifts the spirit. Yes true "Jash" jee, we really do get lazy when time comes for reading and understanding Gurbani, this is something I lack in, being alert Gurbani is just beautiful, and has such deep meanings that can be understood only with Guru jee's kirpa. Let us all do ardaas in front of Guru jee to bless us with amrit vela and be chardi kala everyday. And I really like way that we should do nitnem as it is our last. In one of the post a bhainjee had written about how she would wake up every morning, and think to herself "if I did not do my nitnem today and I were to face dharam raj, how would I face Him?" This is also another thing we can all think about when it is time for us to wake up in the morning. Unfortunately, I am no good at rising in the early hours, and I need to do my nitnem more frequently and cont inously, because one day I will wake up and do nitnem in the early hours and really be in chardi kala the whole entire day, but then the next I'll just be lazy Waheguru jee ka khalsa Waheguru jee ki fateh!
  5. Waheguru jee ka khalsa Waheguru jee ki fateh! I'd like to say first that this is my third time writing a reply on this post all over again, which has really gotten me frusterated because of the fact that I accidently deleted my other two replies. I had decided to not write this one, but I won't give up and write another one and ty to remember what I had written in the other ones. Hopefully, I don't delete this one! Okay neways. First of all I would like to say about this so called person leaving Sikhi that we cannot go around crying feeling discouraged, since we need quality, not quantity. If this person found another way of life to meet the Lord, then great, that's his choice. But there are many beautiful aspects of Sikhi that one cannot get from other religions (Islam, etc.) Hence, they are all pathways to meet Akal Purakh, and they are all created at the will of God. No religion is better than another, and I do hope that my veer jee who is leaving Sikhi realizes this. All we can do as the children of Vaheguru jee is ardaas for this person to righteously follow the path he is taking. Sarbat da bhala. Veer Kulbir Singh jee, thank you for the post. It has really touched my heart and taught me to always act in humbless during these types of situations. I too have recieved remarks like "just cuz you wear a turban..." whenever I tell someone not to do something becuase it is against Guru jee's hukam, and maybe that is because they don't follow the first hukam of Sikhi, to take khande baate da amrit. I am referring to my siblings, but that doesn't make them bad and I love them with all my heart. But it really hurts when someone straight up gives you a remarks such as "just coz u wear a turban" Therefore, in this case it is really important for one know the significance of wearing a dastaar. And it is surprising to know that I have only gotten the most harsh remarks since I have started wearing a dastaar But to act in humbleness and let akal purakh take care of the situation is the best way to go. As for the situation with the bibia I was talking about, I too wanted to go upto them and tell them to keep quiet, but I dared not becuase I found it wrong of me to correct someone older than me, when I have my own flaws and faults to deal with. So I just kept quiet, but it was still really hard for me to concentrate on the Gurbani being recited by the Bhai Sahib. I wanted to go up to the elderly bibia to tell them to keep quiet because not only me, but the others around me found it hard to understand what was being said. But instead I just told myself to not worry about it. Hum nehi chage burra nehi koye|| But I now also realize that Guru Sahib would have wanted me to go upto those bibia and tell them to keep quiet for the better of the sangat. Next time I will not hesitate to face these situations with humbleness and courageness. Again, if I have made any mistakes in the above words, I would like to ask for forgiveness, as I am only so young and have much more to learn. Please Gurmukh pyareo correct me if I have said anything wrong. And may our youth always learn to act in humbless, braveness, and with love, including me Bhul chuk di khima ..Waheguru jee ka khalsa Waheguru jee ki fateh!

Have fun, I going offline as of now, hoping to come back online only for useful things and not to waste my time. bhul chuk di khima ....Waheguru jee ka khalsa Waheguru jee ki fateh!
  7. bachi???! uhhhh....I prefer bhainjee....not to be egotistic, but just kind of awkard when u said "bachee"..otherwise no biggee......and sorry I had no idea your name was Amardeep Singh jee and that you wrote that poem, as I don't go around filing through everyone's profiles :T: , but thanks for letting me know that you wrote that poem, may Vaheguru jee bless you with more sewa veer jee. umm I saw ur birthdate....and it doesn't seem like you r much older than me that I could be called "bachee"
  8. Rochak Malang veer jee, Beautiful post Just struck me, all in a sudden after reading the few posts, all the nonsense that seems to go on in the Gurudwara Sahibs today. I am not a person who can judge, and I seeem to know nothing as I have no knowledge about Sikhi whatsoever, may Vaheguru jee bless me with more and more ambition to learn about Sikhi. But I do have to say something about today's sangat including me. It so hurtful to see sangat sitting in the darbar Sahib (and this example is from my experience) chit-chatting about what not. I have no right to nindya chugli, and that is not my intention to do so, but I feel disgusted when a couple of elderly bibia sitting behind me go on talking about what happened to someone so and so, when a Bhai sahib is sitting up there giving the most important katha to listen to, and saying Gurbani's most beautiful words with the utmost respect and sharda. And its sad to know that the Bhai Sahib giving katha knows and can hear the bibian (and not only the bibian, but in general) sitting all the way back talking about stuff that can be discussed later, and Bhai Sahib not saying anything, but keeps on praising Guru Sahib....there are kirtanis or other parcharaks who right in the middle tell the bibian to keep quite and usually its said in a funnny way, which makes all the others laugh, but still, its annoys me when chit-chatting about outside stuff is going on in the darbar Sahib during the recitation and praising of Gurbani. Again, I talk in the darbar sahib too and many other s do, but i realize only after a little while that there was no use to this and i just wasted my 5 minutes chit-chatting when i could have spent those 5 minutes getting some laahaa of Gurbani. I know of many other mistakes made by myself while at the Gurudwara Sahib, but working my way up and improving myself in these acts is the best way to go. If I have offended any member of the sangat in any way, please forgive this moorakh, as I am just a learner. Bhul Chuk di khima..Waheguru jee ka khalsa Waheguru jee ki fateh!

  16. blazing veer jee, how bout the significance of vaisakhee, how it came to be,etc,etc.. Also veer jee i found this very interesting story on Bhai Sundhar Singh jee ---- http://www.tapoban.org/gursikh%20great%20g...randparents.pdf and somewhere in there it mentions about Vaisakhee, how it played a role in his life. I urge you to read this story. Its not that very long. Maybe you'll get something out of it or maybe you might want to tell this short story in your speech. Just a thought. Otherwise there are many other inspirational stories you could as an example in your speech to teach the meaning of Vaisakhee. Good luck my chote veer jee. Hope this helps. Bhul Chuk muaaf.
