In the beginning:

"Sikh youths are getting ready to walk the ramp and display their well-trimmed beards and turbans..."

and yet, the secretary of the event states later on:

"“Through this competition the young Sikhs in the community would also get an opportunity to see that beard and hairs, which symbolises Sikh religion, should not be cut,” said the secretary."

So the secretary, who actually knows about the event, states that the Sikhs would have uncut beards, but the author states that the competitors are trimming their beards.

Not to mention the spelling mistakes in the article.

Honestly events like this should not even be organised... such a waste. personally i think that if i guy is gonna go and trim his daree, then he better not wear a turban cuz that is soo disrespectful to our Guru.

That's just it. The author of the article is saying that the participants will be trimming their beards, but yet, the secretary of the event is quoted as saying that the participants will present the image of uncut beards.
