bahaahahahah its the BEST

but the most important thing is to stay on track .. there are always dangerous objects things along the way and we need to avoid them and not get stung by them .. or else we will be further and further away from guru ji ..

but i gotta say ..

i knew NOTHING about sikhi when i wasnt amritdhari 3 yrs ago..

someone told me i wont be able to play HOCKEY if i take amrit .. and guess what .. i actually HESITATED .. lol .. LOL.gif

and for people who know me know why .. cuz im crazily obsessed wit hockey .. but then i found out no thats not true.. and now .. i know that above all is guru ji ..

i laugh at myself for even hesitating on that account .. :)

As other people have mentioned, there are no words to describe the feelings after being blessed with Guru Jee's Amrit, the feelings can only be experienced. The following lines from Gurbani come to mind:

ibsm ibsm ibsm hI BeI hY lwl gulwl rMgwrY ]

bisam bisam bisam hee bhee hai laal gulaal ra(n)gaarai ||

I am wonder-struck, wonder-struck, wonder-struck and amazed, dyed in the deep crimson color of my Beloved.

khu nwnk sMqn rsu AweI hY ijau cwiK gUMgw muskwrY [

kahu naanak sa(n)than ras aaee hai jio chaakh goo(n)gaa musakaarai

Says Nanak, the Saints savor this sublime essence, like the mute, who tastes the sweet candy, but only smiles.

There is a sense of belonging to Guru Jee and a special relationship with Guru Jee is formed, there is no other relationship in the world like it:

so siqguru ipAwrw myrY nwil hY ijQY ikQY mYno ley CfweI ]

so sathigur piaaraa maerai naal hai jithhai kithhai maino leae shhaddaaee ||

That Beloved True Guru is always with me; wherever I may be, He will save me.

i took amrit when i was a little kid..so i cant remember much.

it just kinda "happened" in a way.

now that im older i kinda understand the purpose for it, but i know now that i sooo didnt deserve it. u got to have that pyaar and thirst which is what i dont have. i kind of cheated my way into it.

about 2 years ago, i quit doing my nitnem in the mornings becoz it was "wasting my time" and i didnt see the point of it. didnt keep a proper rehat. my parents didnt really bother to make me but sometimes would ask if id done my rehraas sahib and i would lie and say yes. in the begining they would sit with me and made sure i did my rehraas and nitnem propaly but after a while they stopped. they focused on my sister more because she was more "religious" and well as i used to say, she was a "goody goody" and hated her for it.

i do my nitnem in the mornings now and my rehraas but i still dont feel that pyaar. i regret everyday where i couldnt be bothered to do my nitnem and stuff.. no.gif although im not worthy of nothing, i beg for guru ji to forgive me. pray.gif i want to retake amrit...but i keep having doubts. im so scared of going to take pesh.

so how has it changed me?

well....to be really honest i dont really know. but i think i have understood its importance and taking amrit isnt just something you do to pass your time.. i dont blame my parents for what happened when i was younger but i do blame myself for not trying hard enough.

umm i think thats it really.. sorry for rambling on blush.gif
