hey sorry for going a bit off topic cos its abt advertising and not discussing the events lol.

anyways i heard that y'day or the day b4 they discussed whether a good human can be a good human regardless of whether or not they naam jap and are religious and all that.

well just felt like adding a view on that as i was discussing it with someone that did go.

but lets look at it this way, how can u be a good human if u do not remember God?

I dont think u can cos God's like our parents yeh. so if ur mum gives u £100 and u take it, go and give it to the poor, and if ur mum gives u a house and u help needy ppl and let them stay there and if ur mum brought u up to love others and so u do that too, ie.share ur earnings with others, help those that u think need it, go to india and do charity work....well all that would make u a good human being, BUT if u never go back to ur mum and thank her for this, if u never go back and give ur mum credit for what u were able to do to help society then how can u be good.

ur mum created u, so if u forget the one who created u, the one because of whom u r able to do the good u can do, then how does that make u a good human. well another example, ur nice to the world but never bother to meet ur mum or be nice to her, then how can u be a good person and i think most ppl would say ''he is a good person but he doesnt appreciate or think abt his mum'' so he is a good person BUT...''

so where that BUT comes in it means ur not a good person but capable of becoming one if u start to also appreciate the creator, ur mum or more importantly and here, GOD.

well, also just to make this post longer and to bore the hell out of everyone, say u sit at home and do sewa of ur parents, ie.take care of them and love them and all, but u dont do sewa of the community..... for a sikh that would mean do naam japnaa but not help out at the Gurdwara..... well i reckon at least the world would see u as a better human that one who doesnt do naam japna.... or sewa of his parents but does help the community.

i agree the 2, sewa and simran, are important but i was just making a comment on the Q asked abt whether u can be a good human without naam, and so i conclude i dont think so..... not much of a conclusion and soz for not replying with the proper english that was used thruout this thread blush.gif

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

London Sikhi Week was great success thanks to all the universities. We hope to continue with the work and hope photos and other resources will be made available in near future.

Thanks to everyone for there input and all students who took part in kirtan on Wednesday at Kings it was great.

Most of all thanks to Guru Mahraj for blessing everyone with the chance to get closer to Sikhi and joining sangat and do kirtan.

Just cause Sikhi Week is over doesnt mean the events are. Loads of events taking place through out London and UK, chek out BOSS and London Sikh Soc web sites for upcomming programs.

Your feedback is appreciated good and bad comment so we can improve on it for next year, please email sikhsoc@gmail.com.
