Need some help with soundforge 6. I got live recording kirtan on md and i have put it on pc using soundforge. The recoding is good quality but the only problem is that the karkale/shenai are a bit to strong. How would I go about softening/ decreasing the loudness of the karkale and perhaps raising the kirtanis voice?

Anyone an expert in using soundforge please help. MKhalsa Jee, I'm sure you use this software?

ive created a few filters but unfortunately they cant be transferred from one computer to another.. (not easily anyway)

go to process->eq->graphic

make a line going from db 0 & 2.5 k down to db -6 & 5.1 k

now from 5.1 k to 20 k it should be a flat line.. so basically u just lowered all the treble and there should be a downward sloping line between 2.5k and 5.1k

hope this helps.. the other option is.. lower ur mics so they catch less sangat, use one of those foam filter things on the mic, or get a better mic :)
