why do these Gurdwaras and Giannis not stop this practice. What will it take? Lets all chip in and give them an extra pound in return for not doing beadbi.

There is no enforcement. With no law and order you get anarchy. Until we get enforcement the cowboys are going to carry on.

The Management of the Magna Centre have confirmed that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji will not be brought to their premises on 7th May 2006. The Anand Karaj will now take place at Sheffield Gurdwara Sahib.

Guru Nanak Gurudwara of Scunthorpe were responsible for arranging Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji's Saroop to be taken to Magna Centre, however a number Sikh elders from Midlands and surrounding areas persuaded the President, Gurmit S Atwal, that this is abuse of our Guru & Sikh Principles.

With Guruji’s blessings the situation has been resolved and the UK Sikh Community continues to uphold respect for Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The Sangat once again took lead and has shown its love for their father, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Together the Sangat has to carry on educating Gurdwara Committee Members and Granthis about the impact of their decisions and the importance of positions the UK Sikh Community.

Dhan Guru Dhan Guru Pyaray!

The whole responsibility is of Jathedar Vidanti, all is his fault, he is not Serving the Panth, only doing what Parkash Badal says to him. Akaal Takhat Jathedar has so much power that he can take any legal action against this time of Beadbi of Guroo Sahib in any country.

Glad that this has been resolved! d_oh.gif

I had this reply from Magna. I have emailed them my thanks for their prompt and professional dealing of the issue. I am sure the sangta already have, but if not could you thank them. :TH:

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your correspondence regarding this matter. We have informed the family of the numerous emails and phone calls we have received and they have consulted their local temple to reach a solution. The ceremony will now take place in a Temple in Sheffield.

I can guarantee you that this matter is being taken seriously by the both the family and Magna, the venue.

Kind Regards
