Desi Remedies

hehe soooo i thought we could share any desi remedies that have been passed onto us! or most likely forced down our gobs

especially with the winter fast approaching!! beats going to the docs hey!!

well as some of you may know i have bust my ankle; and i am in paaaaaaaain

sooo a few remedies i have been told to try ...

make a huuuuuuuge roti, like a thick one, cook it partly on one side, and wrap it around the ankle;

put some haldi on the ankle;

add salt to warm water and soak your foot in it

rub vix onto your ankle

and the last one.....my dad just massaged oil into my foot and leg that's made from frying alive lizards!!! :D :'( :D

he failed to tell me beforehandddd and thought it would be funnier to tell me later!! poor lizards!!!

well at least i never had a lizard urinate on my hand hey _K_ :lol:

every time food dont pahch (digest) for my bibi, my bibi like 2 me "POHTH MENOO THEHN GOLIYAA HAJMOLEH DIYA DHE" (son, get me 3 tablets of the hajmols)...IT STINX and i just haf 2 run far away as possible

Bibi always says, nimboo dhe ras vich shehth paa keh theh garam ubaliya hoya pani pah keh pee, when we have a cold

(get boiled water, then squeeze lemon juice with 1 tbs of honey)..it does wonders :TH:

or just eat one chamcha of Shehth (honey) odhayee

yup, i herd of banaksha, it is meant to be good for colds

Also cuz Taksali's don't drink tea alot tend to drink banaksha in milk...N i gotta say, it don't taste that bad (in milk)

its also good for sore throats too
