Pandit Hand Reading

people make me laugh when the say hand reading is false or a load of c***, but why do these people forget that when guru nanak was born the guru's parents took them to a pundit, who knew about the guru and what they were going to do................................................ how did the pundit know????? this shows hand reading or fortune telling is real!!!!!!!!! anyone differ to argue????

I believe there are some people who truly have the ability to read your hands. Just as in the same way there are those who can see skulls and know the actions of that person.

1. Not everyone can truly read hands, only claim to do so. And then they make a false living from it.

2. We should put our trust in God himself, and not in some palm-reader. It does not matter what our hands say. God Himself can change your future and your destiny if it so pleases him.

3. Great. Someone tells you that you are going to die at, say, age 40? What are you going to do? One of my mum's friends was told by some palm-reader that she was going to die young at the age of 40. What happened? She became depressed because of it and was continuously worried such that it affected her life and her family. Surely it'd be better to leave things in the Hands of God and not worry about it. BTW she's still alive and around 50!

It is true that some pandits can truely read your hands, but as gurbani states the lines on your hands change with your karmas. So that's one reason that we are not supposed to believe in hand reading.

if the pandits can read hands they should have predicted the Mughals kidnapping their daughters and selling them in the streets of ghazni.

A pundit can tell you worldly things, such as you'll be rich, you'll have this many wives, you'll be healthy. They can't tell you if you will meet with satguru and recieve naam. So what's the point?

As for guru nanak dev ji, read guru sahib's baani, then talk. You'll see what sikhi says about such things.
