fatehjee,

some people also say that when you get married for example and your wife hasnt had amrit then you both go for pesh together, something like that im not sure, but i thought it was wrong to have one partner who has taken amrit and the other who hasn't, but these days u see quite a few couples in that situation

FATEH!!!

People take time to reach the stage of AMRIT SHAK but am pretty sure they do take AMRIT when GURU ji does KIRPA on em.

If a person is not amritdhari it doesn't imply he/she is not worth getting married to an amritdhari..does it ?

hmm ye, but wouldn't it be easier if an amritdhari marries and amridhari in the first place, as they can follow the rehit together, an amritdhari may have a different point of view to someone who doesn't want to take amrit, if that makes sense :D lol

The couple Bass_Singh is talkin about is married. They must have seen something in eachother before taking this step. If a non-amritdhari person can find compatibility with an amritdhari person he/she will take AMRIT for sure one day :TH: .He/She will definetely have a better understanding of SIKHI living with an Amritdhari spouse ..whats your opinion on this one?

Just a thought and that way we might end up having MORE AMRITDHARIs .. what does the SANGAT think ?

sorry to say this but not every amrtidhari is a GurSikh...

many amrit dharis dont keep amrit vela and some very basic rehits and if they get married to someone who is not amritdhari.. then instead of influencing thr partner and explaining thm what sikhi is... they get influenced and go even down..

but if that perosn is a Gursikh .. thn i am sure the life partner will understand what Sikh is by looking at the example right before her eyes.. becuase its very simple each and every perosn radiates energy.. being a Gursikh this person will radiate Positive energy which would influence the partner... to get on the path of Amrit Shakna dn finally be amritdhari...

NO.

A Amritdhari person CANNOT marry someone who is NOT AMRITDHARI.

He/She SHOULD WAIT until the person takes amrit before getting married
