I thought this looked really amazing...

1.jpg

This false-colour image from Nasa's Spitzer Space Telescope shows the scattered remains of an exploded star, Cassiopeia A. The faint blue glow shows material that was energised when the star blew up, while the green, yellow and red colours mainly represents material ejected in the blast.

Waho Waho. I like looking at N.A.S.A.com for these kinds of pics.

I think that pic is infared, xray and something else (maybe black light kind of effect) all in the same exposure. If it was a plain picture then you couldnt see anything. :TH:

yep you got that right, the explosion is so powerful that the light get pushed onto the high end of the spectrum.

also, this start exploded a little over 3 centuries agowhat we see in the picture is the remnant of the explosion.

make you realize what a small speck of dust we are in the cosmos

i think scientist can now say by seeing that the universe is atleast 13.7 billion years old ohmy.gif

thats how far they can see with telescopes and also the farther away you see, the more back in time you see.

ok i sound like a geek now blush.gif

buh i do find this stuff just fascinating :D

oh and also science "thinks" that there might be other dimensions. buh gurbani has declared
