It looks like the BJP will get the Deputy CM position, that means they'll be second in command after Badal. So if Badal DIES (since he is 80 years old), the BJP will be in control of Punjab. That'll be really bad.

Badal has sold Punjab,Sikh panth,Sikh principles to BJP/RSS.If someone is thinking that what happened during the 2007 elections is for Hindu Sikh unity(many politicians and analysts will try to say this) are living in a fool's paradise .This election has infact divided the Hindus and Sikhs and the divide is clearly evident in the voting pattern particularly in the urban areas .The urban Hindus have gone in favour of BJP/RSS which is represented by those people who said the Darbar Sahib attack in 1984 should have taken place much earlier and who distributed sweets when Darbar Sahib was attacked .

badal has converted Shiromani Akali Dal in to a "Punjabi" party whereas Hindus in big urban areas have shifted towards "Hindutva" forces .This is a serious challenge for the Siklh panth .

It's high time you people return to Punjab lest you want to come back to a Biharised Punjab .

Sardar Mann has already tendered his resignation.

Have these people forgotten that badal dal got 48 seats ,whereas congress got 44 .Moreover many close friends of badal Gurdev Badal,Sewa Singh Shekhwan,Balwinder Singh Bhunder,Bhaag Singh Mallaa,Tota Singh etc all have lost the elections.

Moreover badal dal has lost miserably in their own kila(fort): the malwa region ,which is the biggest region of Punjab.

It is the BJP which has gained at their expense.Dont know whether badal dal has learnt any lesson from this or not.
