what i do is this...after washing my Dhari while showering, i put some almond oil in my palm, and then apply it to my Dhari and spread it all around, right down to the roots...then i run some water over my dhari. This way it doesn't get really oily, but rather soft and un-dry (is that a word?)...but don't use too much almond oil or else you'll be getting it all over your phone!!! also, right after you finishing showering use a 'dhari brush' (ya they actually exist!)

I wish WaheGuru will make my beard grow one day so can brush my beard with a dhari brush, its growing far to slow. I must have some problem with my body your some thing. I see young singh with bigger beards then me.

Dhari Brush???

Would you use a plastic comb or hair brush on your hair? you shouldnt!! it causes static electricity etc and extra hair to come out.. guru sahib gave us WOODEN kanga for a reason. this same rule should be applied to our dhari!
