Dealing With Wealth, Money?

Recommended Posts

Dear Sadh Sangat,

I feel bad for admitting this, but I spend more time on MLS [looking for a house to invest in] or on stocks than I do even reciting bani. I was hearing a preacher and he said its not going with you.

But the question is why is society saying you have to buy this to be successful, or you have to this to proove yourself. I dunno, but I realized I am getting too materialistic, is there any suggestions/advice that you may have.

Thanks,

LIB

^^ that was very well posted...I couldn't have said it any better...

and that is true...success is what YOU make of it..it can be something small or something big....and I don't think your the only one whose getting too materialistic, like I find myself doing that at times as well and I know of many people who run after materialistic things. Like its true that nothing is going to go with you but yet people run for things that do not matter.

I think you having recognized what your doing in life has given you a chance to fix that. You have time so try to do what you really want to do and what makes you happy. Make life what you want it to be not what others want.

Bhul Chuk Maaff!!!

Success is whatever makes you happy, whether its reciting the bani all day, making money all day, drinking in a bar all night, or helping others. If it's what makes you happy, then its a success

well said, maybe i can add that the difference in the happiness of doing simran , reading bani and doing good deeds, will be taken with you and will last forever. the happiness from wealth comes and goes throughout life, but there will be no account after death....... the anand you will get from reading bani and doing simran is soooo beautiful and blissful that you could never get that feeling even if you had all the money in the world............... but dont listen to me.......... ty to see for yourself and experience it........ and youl find your answer
