Homeopathic Medicine Contains Alcohol?

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a bottle of lycopodium homeopathic medicine, and notoced that it said 87% alcohol on the box. I asked the Dr. and he said its a different type of alcohol (ethanol based), and that it is totally ok for Amritdharis to take it. He said it doesn't have the intoxicating effects of alcohol, and all medicine contais this type of alcohol. I was wodering if anyone could shed some light on this?

Alcahol is alcahol, just because it doesn't have the intoxicating effects doesn't mean it's not an intoxicant.

therefore we shouold stop taking many medicines because they contain alcohol.

eg: Paracetamol, Salbutamol.. all the basic ones really

Substances ending with "ol" is an alcohol.

Search for alcohol and cream.. we had this convo before

In chemistry I am stuudying alcohols. You get different types of alcohol. The one your talking about which is used in medicine is fine to have. You can also get alcohol in margerine as well.

If you want to follow Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh's example, he never took any medicine. He just did lots of simran and recited gurbani.

NAAM = The greatest medicine ever available in the whole universe.

usually, good quality vodka won't have a smell...

but in any case, 99% of medications have an alcohol component...

the kurehit is intoxicants...not alcohol per se...

just like..marijuana is a plant...and it's an intoxicant..so you wouldn't want to use it for a non medicinal purpose...you wouldn't start saying that we should stay away from all plants...
