Its true. Mool mantar ends at Gur prasad but there is nothing to fight about. Some people do it till nanak hosee bhee sach and some dont. It doesnt really matter its just that jap signifies the start of jap ji sahib.

If you read Gurbani then you'll realize that every bani or pauri ends with "Nanak"

For example. "Binwant NANAK gur charan laage, vaaje anhad tooraae"

" NANAK te mukh oojle, keti chutti naal"

Check out any Hukamnama. It won't be complete without NANAK or with the bhagat's name if its from bhagat bani.

Guru Nanak is Nirankaar Himself. Do you expect an order to come from someone who does not have the authority to implement it?
