Guru Nanaks Travels

Its been said that Guru Nanak travel the world. I want to know if there’s any remaining evidence if he travelled to London and which part of England.

It would be interesting to find what parts Guru Nanank actually travelled to

i think it was much of asian sub continent. pretty sure not as far as england tho

There are reports that Guru Nanak Ji went as afar as Rome....but this is something that they are still trying to find evidence off.

Bearing in mind Maharaji carried out his Udasis via foot, it's amazing to consider the vast distances he travelled....I think the representations of Maharaji Nanak in the form of a image DO NOT do him justice, for such a fit and healthy man (physically and spiritually) !!!!!!!

I have heard that Guru Nanak travelled to china and served his teachings there, and as given such respect for his teachings the Chinese name a country after him, calling it ‘Nanaking’ (Nanak King).

Though i still wonder what was the impact when he travelled to England...

There is a sakhee that states the Guru Nanak Dev Jee and Bhai Mardhaana Jee went to another world...I don't remember the whole story now...I'll do some detective work and let you know soon

Don't get carried away. After Guru ji's physical passing many people wrote accounts of his "travels" (The Janam Sakhis). It is highly likely that some of the incidents in these are based on something that actually happened and some have been made up. Some are probably later exaggerations by pindus too. They often contradict each other but I don't think any actually claims Guruji visited Europe. Somewhere near Mecca is as far as they go (in that direction).

I thought there is evidence that he got to Istanbul (Turkey); some Tablet or something stating his name?

Also in response to Jii no country in China was named after Guru Ji but a few villages were...other than the visit of Guru Nanak Dev ji these villages were cut off from Sikhi and so they dont tend to wear Dastaar unless going Gurdwaray in West...they tend to look like hippies with long following hair.

I think there was some tablet in Baghdad, but people weren't agreed on whether it was authentic. Plus I heard the place has been blown up recently in the Iraq war.

well I've heard that guru nanak dev ji traveled around the world too

but in all the stories I've heard its mostly like the asian continent cuz he did go to saudi arabia and thats kinda far :e:
