There was a programme held by Dal Khalsa in association with Ramgharia Sabha Slough,in the remembrance of the lifetime of Maharaja Jassa Singh Ji Ramgharia.In Slough on the 5th of August,this programme was about the celebration of the great General of the Sikh nation Jassa Singh,his life & his achievements.

The programme was started by the president of the Ramgharia Sabha Slough Amarjeet Singh Bachu ,he said that Jassa Singh was a general of the Sikh Nation,he was not representative of any caste,he was the 1st Sikh General to capture Delhi from the Moguls.The following speakers gave speeches in honour of Jassa Singh & Freedom,:Manmohan Singh Khalsa(Dal Khalsa UK),Sikh Federation President Amrik Singh Gill,Ravinder Singh ( Focus Panjab),Davinderjeet Singh(Sikh Federation UK),Singh Sabha President Slough Mr Bal,Jaswinder Singh Ubhi – Ramgharia Misl,Gurcharan Singh President Dal Khalsa UK,

These speakers gave their views on the caste system, about how it is a plague in Sikhi,and how Jassa Singhs fight for freedom is relevant today in the form of Freeing Khalistan the sovereign Sikh Nation.They also went on to expose and denounce the activities of the Brahmins through the ages,and the RSS & Indian Government today.There was also a Dhadi Jatha singing about Jassa Singhs life & how Bhramins betrayed Sikhs and the Sikh nation in the last 400 years. The reformation of the Ramgharia Misl was also announced at this conference, to honour Jassa Singhs memory.

Sounded like a constructive meeting, good news. Ive been reading up about Misls and Ramgharia has nothing to do with caste, so i dont know why tharkans call themselves Ramgharia and the illusion that Ramgharia Gurdwareh are caste based has no foundation as Ramgharia was a Misl of The Khalsa Army, it is just a name for the Gurdwara. Although people have made assumptions and associated the Gurdwareh with caste which is a disgrace and goes against the teachings of our Great Guru Ji.

Good to see the meeting denounced the caste issue.

Jaswinder Singh Ubhi made reference to this and said the President had assured him no further booking had been made and for bookings that had already been made alternative arrangements had been put in place. However, somone in the know may wish to confirm if this is true. At best I suspect still being used as a party hall, but no meat. alcohol, tobacco.

Also does anyone know if the Gurdwara has arranged transport for the 15 August UK Sikh Protest Rally and have they encouraged Sangat to take part.
