Khalsa Action Committee Delclares Shaheed Bhai Dilwar Singh Ji Sher-e-panth

The Khalsa Action Committee (KAC) today honoured the father and mother of Shaheed Bhai Dilawar Singh, Baba Harnek Singh Ji and Bibi Surjit Kaur Ji, with the Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji gold medal and declared Bhai Sahib as SHER-E-PANTH at a function here today. It also performed ardas for Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara and Bhai Balwant Singh.

Presenting the award, Bhai Mohkam Singh, convener of the KAC (Spokesman of Damdami Taksal), said the killing of Beanta was the last resort to restore Sikh human rights. Its co-convener Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu reiterated that the struggle for achieving Khalsa rule would continue and added that it would take the struggle against the dera to its logical end.

Resolutions read by KAC spokesman Kanwarpal Singh urged the Punjab government to lend financial support to the families of state terrorism. It also asked the government to bring guilty police officers to book who were responsible for extra-judicial killings.

Former minister Manjit Singh Calcutta, former SGPC secretary Ragbir Singh, Former Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Singh Sahib Bhai Jasvir Singh Ji Khalsa Rode, Sikh Students Federation president Paramjit Singh Gazi and Akal Federation convener Naraien Singh and Damdami Taksal Chief Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale also addressed the gathering. Members of the families of those who had been awarded life imprisonment in the Beanta murder case and those of Kharkoo Singhs who died during the Sikh struggle in the ’90s were honoured.
