Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

In pad ched, the bani is the same. But the way the people seperate it make mistakes. For example( got this off tapoban site), if u have sadhan, right, it mean women. But if u seperate it to sa dhan, which is what happens in pad ched saroops, it means that women. SO, we just changed bani, its aarth. Its really important to print only lareedar, but i think its too far to go and say pad ched isnt guru je.

yeah but veerji, in most cases we can see from the context what the Gurbani is telling us. like if it is going to be 'women' or 'that women'. it is essential that Pad-Ched is allowed, or else there would be no Steek.

However Larivaar Saroops should be printed only. (i agree on this one), but as a Steek it is natural that it is going to be a Pad-Ched.

:D @ @ :@ @

Man, what is happening to us??????

A mistake? WHAT? ohmy.gifohmy.gif

Man, this is DHAN DHAN SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI you're talking about!! Guru sahib has no mistakes. Before jumping to conclusion, I seriously urge you to go in front of Guru sahib, read the entire bani, do you see any mistakes???. PLEASE don't just take someone's word for it, that it has mistakes, that person may not even know nothing about Gurbani, so please check your sources before you post such things!!!!!!!

Sikhs saying there's a mistake in SGGS saroop, whether lareevar or padd ched?? Man this is the worst thing I've heard in a

while! :):@

Bhul chuk di khima.

Bhai Daljeet Singh Jio try to understand the argument. NO ONE said there are errors or mistakes in Gurbani but in the way some people seperated the words does make one occur errors while reading baani. Why is this? Because Pad-Ched (seperation) of the words was NOT done by Guru Sahibs, but mere humans. Do you get it now?

okey now i got the mail from Panth Khalsa Singhs,

they showed some good examples how Steeks differ when different scholars interprate Gurbani. As we know Larivaar is the one and same, but when scholars as Bhai Veer Singh, Prof. Sahib Singh, SGPC-authored ShabadArth, and the famous Faridkoti Teeka (eldest Steek of SGGS in the Giani Sampardaya) they have differences to where they shall seperate the words. And in turn, when the modern printers print SGGS in Pad-Ched they chose the seperation according to their own thinking. and THAT is wrong.

but still when a Saroop is already printed it should be given equal respect, as the letters are the same.

Steeks will always be different as scholars are always going to fight over what is the seperation, etc. :) @ but the Saroop that is kept at home / Gurdwara could be one if they are Larivaar.

actually deep singh the letters are not the same.. theres extra characters (spaces) added here and there which significantly alters the bani. If we can add spaces, we might as well move on to adding comas in saroops showing where to pause (like amrit keertans have)

then we might decide to add a bindi here and there where we think it should be.. and we could change all of the "q" to "qw"

where will it end?

look at around when padcheed started to be printed.. when did all the sikhs start to get corrupt? when did rehat decline? when did knowledge decline?

when we mess with our guru sahib and dhur kee bani, the panth suffers significantly. I dont think the panth can make any major strides until we have major acceptance of larivaar saroops again.

    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
