is it possible to know a ca. date of when a piece of literature, book or page was written?? eg u have a book.. and after researching u come to know it was made around 1724... just an example..

if it is possible then what is it called?

wikipedia :D . All kidding aside, what you're looking for is when it was first published, which is more or less when it was created, but some books are exceptions. For example, Harry Potter was created by J.K. Rowling c.a. '91, but wasn't published until around '97.

for example.. satnamias have guru jis handwritten swaroop in chattisgarh.. is there any science available to come to know around what date it was written by researching the ink and paper quality.. it can be very helpfull with many scriptures etc

and carbon dating uses the carbon (i believe drawn the carbon we exhale. or something) to judge the date.. the downsides are that carbon prolly differs greatly from area to area...

because i really wanted to see the sggs at chattisgarh which was written around the time of the 9th guru! so i want to see if 9 pathsahi bani is added and see if its really tht old....

any thing made out of organic material can be dated by messuring the amount of carbon decay. metal can not be carbon dated. but to carbon date you do need a sample that will get distroyed so it might not be good to do it with old swaroops even thogh they can use very small samples now days. but there are other ways to date which will probably be more appropriate, experts can examine the pages and ink and get a pretty good estimate
