I know that Sant Isher Singh Ji Rarewaly spent some time in East Africa though.

I heard that he went to africa's jungle and told his sevedars to stand far away from him and watch. Sant ji started his samadhi and then suddenly one deer came out jumping from nowhere to sant ji and the deer puts his face on Sant ji's shoulder. They both stood there for long time. After some time, deer went into the jungle again. Sant ji sevadars asked them who was that deer and Sant Ji told him that deer was his mom.

ISW ji, who told you this please? Because i know the exact same story happened but with another Mahapursh. I know because my grandfather personally knew this saint and was close with the family. Their name was Sant Baba Mani Singh Ji. They went to Africa a couple of times and stayed with my grandfather. It was my uncle who was with them when they went to the jungle.

The car parked on the roadside, none of the sevaks knew why baba ji wanted to come to this particular spot. Then a herd of deers came rumbling by. Out of the herd, a single deer came up to the roadside, and stood near the car. Baba ji got out and then went and hugged it. Tears began rolling out of the deers eyes. Baba ji then blessed the deer by patting it on its head and it rejoined the herd. The sevaks were awe struck at what was happening. Baba ji sat back in the car and they themsleves said i know that you want to know whats going on. They then said that the deer was their mother from another life and this is the reason they came to kenya to find it and bless it. Amazing stuff innit.

Maybe you've heard the story and got it mixed up with Sant Baba Nand Singh Ji. I doubt the same story happened twice. I don't know? In light of that, its interesting to know that someone has heard it because not many people seem to have heard about Baba Ji these days. Most of their sangat is in India and most have gone old and even left this world.

Kalsingh, you're absolutely right!

My Nana Ji's fuffar (I think) was driving the car! Although he always used to say that the hirni (deer) died when Sant Mani Singh Ji put their hand on its head - they explained to everyone that they did Ardas for mukti and it died straight away. It was their mum, in another janam.

Sant Mani Singh Ji was known for karamat and was once severely told-off by Baba Puran Singh Ji for displaying their power.

Is Kalsingh short for kalasinga?
