From Mukhaarbind of Guru Gobind Singh ji; this Shabad was sung by him on the night of the cold Winter when Guru Sahib jio had earlier in the day led the Khalsa forces in the battle of Chamkaur where Guru ji fought with the huge army of enemies of Khalsa Panth. His sons embraced martyrdom in front of his own eyes fighting for Khalsa ideals.Guru Sahib ji in this shabad yearns for remembrance of Waheguru inspite of hardships and tough times.

This is all I could find. Where/how was this composition first found? Is it part of Dasam Granth (which I doubt)? More info on this composition in general...

Thanks in advance...

Singha it actually is from sri dasam darbar

Sabd Hajare Patsahi Dasvee

check ur taksali sundr gutke

i dont remember if its in the normal nitnem gutka, but its in the sundr gutka for sure

its written in the poetic style called Kaafi, don't know much more about the poetic composition than that

maybe sum1 could help explain that as well?

Maharaj composed it in Machhiwara jangl, its filled with utter bairaag, yet chardi kala at the same time

beyond words, like all their bani

Greetings

Im pretty sure ive read somewhere on this forum that posting of other websites arent allowed

any ways on your head be it

lets just say for example one was to go on a website where video files can be seen, some sort of tube <<< nudge nudge wink wink >>>

and search for "Bhai Balbir Singh Ji & Bhai Baldeep Singh Ji Gurmat Sangeet"

a 10 minute video would appear

it is that one
