WJKK WJKF!!

Basically im a 18 yr old Amritdhaari and i been speakin to this Singhni for about a year now or just maybe under. She told me about 2 months after that she "liked" me in that way. She said she would get over it and it was just a phase so we left it and carried on as normal. However she told me again today that she still got feelings for me and wants to see where it would go.

I dont see her like that at all, she really just isnt my type and we would be betta off being friends. It could easily ruin our friendship that we have. And im a person who cant say "no" to anyone so i had 2 put the phone down and pretend it ran outta battery! Help me i dont know what to do!

Hmmm...So you are the 'type' of person that can't say NO to anybody?

Lemme see..."Can I hit you with a baseball bat?"...Yes or No? okay okay, Just kidding =)

Tell her: 'NO'--- right away...but nicely. Don't play with her feelings. She'll be hurt first but then she'll get over it ---Don't worry. And It's better if you stay away from her because she is still a kid and basically, so are you. YOU are 'still' kind of 'young' to be involved in this sort of stuff anyways ---YES, you heard it right. So just ignore the pressure that your hormones are putting on you. And don't ruin her life. Stay away from her. :)

This is the problem with "singh & bibi relationships". nothing is ever innocent anymore. All these 'crushes' and 'relationships' are all false. Just tell her to her face and dont be such a softy lol.

although im not a fan of this guy, but this video is worth a watch. :TH:

my advice my friend is dont get into it... ive been in the same situation and we got really close then down the line she tells me she just wants to be friends again. its a waste of time and you end up gettin hurt. so my advice keep your self to your self.

When reading this thread I felt very disappointed that this thing has also plagued our amritdhari singhs and kaurs....I know it can happen to anyone but suddenly it seems very common amongst amritdharis. I have heard many stories and seen amritdharis with gf, amritdharis checking each other out etc....very disappointing that amrithdari's are getting affected too.

I think the amritdhari boy should say no clearly so that the girl understands because from what you have said your kinda leading her on by sitting on the fence. I am pretty sure if you make it clear that the feelings are not mutual she will get over it. But if she cannot get over it then you have to stop talking to her. It's for her own good.

Pajee, firstly I think u are too young to be involved in such matters, and at this age, u both should really be concentrating on ur studies, and on sikhi.

And u saying u cant say no to someone, aint right, Does that mean if someone is doing something not accepted in sikhi, u would not be able to stand strong and make the other person realize also?? Despite the fact that u are amritdharee?? – Putting the fone down and pretending it ran out of battery don't really solve issues!! .

If u have pyaar for Guru Gobind singh Jee, then u will definitely make this penjee, who is on the wrong realize, she aint doing the right thing- she is too young to be involved in such matters, and she should be working hard at school, and getting the grades to get to university etc, also tell her she should be concentrating on sikhi, ( ask her to read history of sikh women like Mata Bhani jee, Mata Gujri jee, Mai Bhago etc ) make her clearly realize she is like a sister to you and no more, and I don't think you should be talking to her really over the fone after that. It is not right to form a relationship before getting married.

Bhul chuk maaf

    • the whole 'your husband/wife is chosen for you'/sanjog thing is real, it's just that a lot of people end up marrying the wrong person. they did not end up with the person that was meant for them. my friend, you should marry someone who you feel a connection with and love. there are millions of sikh girls, i'm sure you can find someone who aligns with your sensibilities and who you can truthfully say that you love. sikhi does not say anything against love marriages. you can also be in a loveless arranged marriage which is a safe option b/c both families are more inclined to keep the union intact. i was one of those people who was like meh, i guess i'll just get arranged to some sikh. well i finally started dating for the first time this year and i'm getting married to someone that i love and cannot even imagine leaving. i think it's better to have lost & lost than never loved at all. unfortunately, a lot of people confuse love w/ looks & lust. a lot of men go for the fittest girl they can find and think they won the jackpot or something. in reality, your partner should be like an extremely loved best friend. there's a reason why it's a fact that the most stable and long-lasting relationships started as friendships.  i also think a lot of women are petty and divorce over small reasons, but there's other terrible things like high cheating rates as well. that's why the divorce rate in the west is high. be careful out there.
    • andrew tate praises sikhi too & likes sikhs. his brother also donated to sikh families iirc. they just like any "alpha" religion and tbh islam is the most "alpha" in their eyes. islam is very good at promoting that image. but imo a real alpha man doesn't command respect by beating up his wive(s) or forcing them to wear a burqa. a real man will have his woman listen to him w/o raising a hand or his voice, and command respect by being respectful. he leads by example and integrity. that's true masculinity. you get the idea. + yes, it's definitely true that islam is growing rapidly and making massive inroads. strength in numbers + belief will do that. but rlly it's just because of the birth rate. a lot of them are muslim b/c it's their "identity" just like how a lot of young sikhs will say they're "culturally sikh" or whatever. there just aren't billions of sikhs who lambast their identity everywhere and have strict and linear rules like in islam. besides, the reality is that islam and its followers are some of the most morally bankrupt. you can see all the weird trans rules in iran, bacche baazi in afghanistan, visiting brothels, watching p*rn, p*dophilia what goes on behind the scenes in countries like uae & qatar, etc, and come to your conclusions. you can google all the stats yourself and see which countries do the most of these ^.
    • stop associating with hinduism, that's the absolutely worst thing you can do as a sikh. not sure if you noticed but the entire world looks down upon and spits at india & hindus, literally no one respects them and considers them weak and cowardly. literally 1+ billion of them but not perceived as a strong religion commandeering respect.
    • you wrote a whole lot but told us nothing. what exactly did you do wrong to make you feel this way?
