Indian Tax payers end up paying about tax directly and indirectly. Apart from Income Tax there's VAT @ 12.5%, there's Customs and Excise Duties, Cess.

The tax on Delhi Mumbai air ticket is about Rs. 3000.

Have you ever gone deep under the causes of corruption apart from moaning about corruption at every available opportunity.

Africa and Asia have some of the biggest corruption rates and Western Europe has probably one of the lowest.

the reason is that in the colonized countries, corruption was encouraged among people by the colonial powers so that the workforce could serve the interests of the colonial Raj.

In India the colonial Raj was preceeded by a few centuries of Mughal (Turko-Mongol) rule that skewed this ratio even further because common people had lost self-esteem and were prone to corruption to sustain their very life in presence of alien/outside forces.

Corruption exists only amongst the broken and fallen peoples, it does not exist in a nation with high sense of collective pride and high self-esteem.

Example: In India Politicians take donations under the table. In US they do so by holding a Dinner and charging a phenomenal amount per plate. In Developed Countries they've legalized corruption. Either way people who donate expect favors.... no free lunches in this World.

Do you think US is corruption free? Where do you think trillions of Dollars have gone in US Financial Sector?

In India corruption is a creation of Congress and over the years this malaise has just increased many fold.
