Brilliant.

We believe in brahm gyaanta not scholars gyaanta.

Sant Sundar Singh Jee Bhindranvale and the Pandit at Damdama Sahib

Once a Pandit came to Takht Sri Damdama Sahib to study from Sri Maan Sant Giani Sundar Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindranvale, when he came and started to study, Sant Jee was doing arth of ‘oankaar’, the pandit listening to these arth was amazed and said where do these arth come from?. A gursikh at the time replied ‘they come from above’ the pandit said ‘where from above’ he was amazed at the beautiful arth that he had never heard. The pandit then stated that in the past I have won 500 gatherings of scholars at 500 rupees each and said ‘I have never heard such deep arth of gurbani, I cannot study from you and walked away’.

Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee whilst narrating the sakhi states that these are false people and there veechar are also false, they do not follow what they preach and are just engrossed in maya.

The Pandits, the religious scholars, read their books, but they do not understand the real meaning.

They give instructions to others, and then walk away, but they deal in Maya themselves.

Speaking falsehood, they wander around the world, while those who remain true to the Shabad are excellent and exalted. ||6||

The highest authority on this matter is the original Sikh Brahmgyani, Theologian and Historian Bhai Gurdas Ji.

His vaar on Bhagat Kabir Ji's Guru negates everything else, and thus fits perfectly with Kabir-Panthi records, the other strong source:

Vaar 10 Pauri 15 Kabir and Ramanand

hoi birakatu banaarasee rahindaa raamaanadu gusaaeen|

Being detached from the world, Brahmin Ramanand lived in Varanasi (Kasi).

Line 1

anmritu vaylay utdi kai jaandaa gangaa nhaavan taaeen|

He would rise early in the morning and go to the Ganges to bathe.

Line 2

ago hee day jaai kai|amaa piaa kabeer tidaaeen|

Once even before Ramanand, Kabir went there and lay in the way.

Line 3

pairee tunbi utdaaliaa bolahu raam sikh samajhaaee|

Touching with his feet Ramanand awakened Kabir and told him to speak ‘Ram’, the true spiritual teaching.

Line 4

jiu|ohaa paarasu chhuhay chandan vaasu nimu mahakaaee|

As the iron touched by philosopher’s stone becomes gold and the margosa tree (Azadirachta indica) is made fragrant by sandal.

Line 5

pasoo paraytahu dayv kari pooray satigur dee vadiaaee|

The wondrous Guru turns even animals and ghosts into angels.

Line 6

acharaj no acharaju milai visamaadai visamaadu milaaee|

Meeting the wonderous Guru the disciple wonderfully merges into the great wonderous Lord.

Line 7

jharanaa jharadaa nijharahu guramukhi baanee agharh gharhaaee|

Then from the Self springs a fountain and the words of the gurmukhs shape a beautiful form

Line 8

raam kabeerai bhaydu n bhaaee ॥15॥

Now Ram and Kabir became identical.

Bhagat Kabir Ji wrote the Bavan Akhri after meeting Guru Sahib.

It is said that Bhagat Kabir Ji called Guru Sahib a 'Khalsa'. Bhagat Ji then composed the following Shabad:

kaho kabeer jan bha-ay khaalsay paraym bhagat jih jaanee. ||4||3||

Says Kabeer, those humble people become pure - they become Khalsa - who know the Lord's loving devotional worship. ||4||3||

Guru Gobind Singh Ji didn't change any Bani. If any changements were made, it was by Guru Arjan Dev Ji. As Guru Gobind Singh Ji just took the Adi Grant and put Guru Tegh Bahadurs Bani in it, and made it into the present-day SGGS.

But I'm not 100% sure veerji. Thats what I have heard atleast.
